Hello! My name is José and I am a bass player from Santiago, Chile. As a Latin-American musician I grew up immersed in a wide range of styles and rhythms, listening to music coming from the US and Europe, as well as all the local music from the continent. In this way, I developed myself through playing diverse styles such as jazz, rock, pop, funk, hip-hop, samba and salsa. Being versatile has given me the opportunity to play with people from different cultures and, regardless of the styles I have played, there is always this magic and thrill that brings me tremendous joy when playing my instrument, this is something I love about music and that I feel passionate to transmit when teaching music. Either working on the fundamentals of technique or music theory, or developing a more advanced playing in different styles and contexts, I always strive to bring insight and understanding over our music practice, I believe this is a key factor in being able to connect with our creativity in a practical way. Normally, a lesson would be part of a cycle of lessons, involving a strategy specially adapted to the student's needs, enabling them to grow in specific areas of their music practice. Therefore, it is a holistic method which aims to connect the intellectual, physical, emotional and social areas of the student and to put them into practice when performing a repertoire, which is usually the goal set for our lessons. You are invited to book a trial lesson with 50% off. Hope to see you soon at our first lesson. Looking forward to playing with you, José
