We will learn using the Cambridge Young Learners resources for the Cambridge Young Learners Exams. We will focus on the Starters exam and learn the basic skills of English using very basic alphabet and phonics and simple reading and writing. We will work on very basic beginners level spoken English by learning to introduce ourself and then move onto more social language focusing on the correct pronunciation in British Standard English. We will then look at recognition of letters and sounds using our Phonics knowledge and use this to recognise and read the first 100 high frequency words.
