Volunteering for a year at my school teaching maths to those who not only struggled with the subject but were also disruptive allowed me to sharpen my teaching skills, making the subject interesting and easy to follow, allowing me to control and entice the group. Additionally, I supported my peers throughout the courses.
I specialise in GCSEs, in which I got a grade 9 (A*) in maths and physics and in AS/A levels where I was predicted an A* in maths.
Having recently done the new course, I am in the perfect mindset to help with the exams and see problems from the student's perspective.
My goal is not only to train students in maths but also teach exam technique, crucial to achieving high grades but consistently overlooked in schools.
Lessons will be personalised to cater for the specific needs of the student and on the free application zoom where slides are prepared and a whiteboard can be used to visualise problems.
