Learning the guitar can be challenging but fun and once the basic skills are grasped, the world is your musical oyster,! I have been a professional guitarist performing nationwide and internationally for the past fifteen years and during that time I have also taught guitar to hundreds of students, be it to school age or the retired. My fun and friendly teaching approach will help give you the confidence to play your best and I always structure my lessons around the musical interests of the student, no matter the genre. I have taught from the Rockschool, Trinity Rock and Pop and Yamaha pop syllabi’s, as well as the Trinity and Associated Board for classical players. I like to encourage improvisation at every level of playing, which aids creativity and leads to composition and before you know it, you’re playing your own music! I am currently teaching remotely and welcoming players of all ages and abilities!
