This class is for you if you want to make French your second, third or even fourth language. It is tailor-made to your individual needs and goals whether you an absolute beginner, upper intermediate speaker, fluent speaker or your French once fluent have now become rusty. Go polyglot! I will assess your level so that the class content meets you exactly where you are starting or continuing from. This class uses the communicative language teaching (CLT) method or the communicative approach (CA) which involves lively lessons, interactive, task-based activities to help you learn and speak French. As a (bi)multilingual, you will want to communicate well with native and non-native French speakers. I have designed this course to help you build language competency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will experience these skills in each lesson. The course focuses on both oral and written expression, language use and communication. You will be able to express yourself verbally and in writing with utmost confidence. You will gradually work your way to being more spontaneous with the French language. Did you notice I did not mention Grammar and Vocabulary? Yes, they matter but they are only a tool in language, a part of your journey. Our destination, the goal is to get you speak and express yourself. I do cover them too but my focus is something more important than these two. Projects, tasks and assignments accompany each lesson and I provide periodic progress reports.
