"Who does not know his story is condemned to relive it ..." is the litany that Marx killed himself to make us understand. In a strong socio-cultural context where the decision of autonomy of the peoples is at the crossroads of the contemporary stakes, not knowing its past has aborted its future. Everyone is capable of being self-taught, yet one needs to have enough self-confidence to dominate a sense of vulnerability combined with a state of fear fostered by years of self-censorship. Hence the need to find a peer with whom to share his experience and his knowledge to enable a lasting social emulation. The modes of learning and expressions are varied, so I can offer you a personalized study plan adapted to your needs. This course is for anyone who wants to have a global approach to world history (involving multiple subjects simultaneously) in a relaxed atmosphere where everyone will leave with the feeling of having learned something for good. In addition, anxious to support my words and your desires, we can make fun outings (museum, conferences, debate ...) to study a case in depth.

I am an English Literature and Classical Literature and Civilisation student at the University of Birmingham, looking to tutor in English Literature, History, or Classical Civilisation up to GCSE. I can teach any aspect of English Literature and Classical Studies up to this level, and can teach the following areas of history: the Tudors (from Henry VII to Elizabeth I); American history from the invention of the cotton gin in 1793 through to the death of Martin Luther King in 1968; the First World War; and international relations during the Cold War. I pride myself on my creativity, and through this, I provide personalized 1-1 sessions with students and gear my teaching towards their individual needs. I ask students to tell me about what they're having particular trouble with and help them understand these topics and talk through any issues. I talk to students about their preferred learning methods and structure my teaching around this for optimum results. I'm open to questions and I'm always happy to help students extend their knowledge beyond the curriculum.

Trusted teacher: Hello there, my friend from the future! :) My name is Tamara, and I specialize in both tutoring beginners and advanced students, both general and basic, as also academic, legal and business English. Since I have an LLM in International law, and my expertise is in Environmental Law, Human Rights, International Criminal, and Humanitarian Law and even Space law, I tend to tackle them with a much wider, multidisciplinary approach, so my students can gain a broader perspective on the crucial issues of today's society. Similarly to that, regarding general English, I intend to go through it through 21st-century "know-hows" and "must-knows", related to the crucial issues of today's society e.g. Environmental protection and conservation, climate change, global warming, healthy nutrition, consumerism, corruption, Human Rights, spiritualism, self-improvement, self-awareness, self-empowerment, and other similar important topics. As you can see, all of these topics can be taught from the aspect of social sciences and humanities, which is what I do best! My main method is oral communication, Q&A, brain games, role-play, providing reading material, using a multimedia approach and engaging students with various different teaching tools. With younger or beginner students, I usually also use flashcards, TPR (Gestures and body language), and even teaching toys and props. But, although I am very thorough, my teaching style is also very flexible in terms of adaptability to the students' needs and preferences - which means that you can count on a relaxed, natural and friendly environment with me! :) And, don't worry! I'm a Law graduate, so I'm always objective when it comes to teaching! And, since I'm of the opinion that a teacher must be, above all, an activist, and a humanitarian, a giver and a helper, an adviser and, of course, a friend... I must honestly say that, If you like what you just read, I can't wait to meet you and help you start creating a small change in building a better society for future generations, by improving yourself and sharing your knowledge with others!

Trusted teacher: I offer Social Sciences and qualitative research classes for university students in all levels. I have experience teaching and mentoring students at different levels of their academic formation. From classic social studies, to the most recent theoretical developments in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Sciences or History, I can guide you through the intricacies of social thought and research in a clear, motivated and exciting way. Who am I? A committed social scientist, MA and Ph.D in Anthropology, completed 4yrs post-Ph.D in political anthropology. I have conducted four different research projects, all of them focusing in southern African communities and dealing with an array of distinct topics (religious syncretism; memory and identity; local and state politics; literary practices; history making; power and authority). During my studies I have built a very consistent and broad theoretical and ethnographic knowledge, particularly, but not only, when it comes to the interdisciplinary field of African studies (a complex literature in which I feel very comfortable and able to navigate with full proficiency). I am a very experienced researcher (with more than 3 years of fieldwork experience in southern Africa), acquainted with all kinds of qualitative methods, from interviews, ritual analysis, archival work and social media research. I have much experience writing, assessing and tutoring research projects; peer-reviewing academic papers (including American Anthropology, Caderno de Estudos Africanos, among others); participating in thesis commission board; and as a university professor. Mentoring and teaching is truly my passion, and with a very consistent and mature knowledge of the literature you can expect a most precise, competent assistance. How do I work? * You have a specific topic to unravel: we will go to the button of it through an interdisciplinary genealogy of concepts and an attentive look to their uses in concrete situations. * You have an ongoing/finished paper: I will proofread your paper and offer you a logic schematics of your central argument. The idea is to first pull you out of the hurricane to identify its trajectory, and then push you back at its peaceful centre, were we can polish your ideas, cleaning unnecessary digressions and adding relevant data and literature. * You have/need a research project: I will read and comment your project in case you already have one and offer you with a schematic of the literature related with your topic so that we can identify relevant gaps in the literature. After doing that, we will consider your objectives and consider through pertinent questions for your research. * You are writing a thesis: I will first go through your research project and cross-check with you the actual results of your research. Once we have done that, we will analyse the nature and quality of your data, the span of the literature covered, chapters you might have already written, and, of course, the issues that excites you most. The idea is to identify where your strength is and what can be done do reinforce your arguments (more research, if possible; or literature review, if necessary). All this will be done with organizational support, helping you plan and schedule your writing with confidence, grace and, most importantly, no suffering!
