Trusted teacher: Private lessons / intensive training in Latin Dances (Cuban Salsa, Salsa Porto / LA, Bachata, Merengue, Chacha, West Indian Zouk, Kuduru-African dance, Brazilian Zouk*) (* = it's THE dance of the moment that paradoxically has nothing zouk or anything Brazilian - today it's pop music for two, mixing creativity, sensuality, air fluidity that plays a lot with the movements of bust, head and body undulations.) METHODOLOGY Learn dance and let talk about your body / emotions, make the difference in the evening ("social dancing") or prepare an event (wedding for example): Focused on pedagogy, technique and pleasure, the dance space offers personalized and individualized courses of Salsa (porto on 1, Cuban), Bachata, Merengue, Kuduru-African dance, Zouk Antillais, Zouk Brazilian (pop music) (...) according to your desires. Objective: to adapt to your request and your desire. In the eyes of many neophytes, a couple who dance well performs spectacular figures. To dance is to tell / live together a story, to produce beauty in movement and to make the steps, the attitudes and the connections between the various actions aesthetic / harmonious. This fluidity is born of emotion, felt and transmitted. Simplicity, communication, listening, sharing, emotion, valorization of the other: it is, in addition to technical knowledge (body expression, rhythmic, visual), what you will improve during this training at evolutive levels. In a friendly atmosphere, you will be taken in hand whatever your initial level. Objective: a combination between on the one hand, intuition / feeling / improvisation and on the other hand, technique. It is possible to take the course in couple or solo. According to your desire, it is possible to propose 70% of a 1st dance, 30% of another complementary dance, the bases of the one influencing the other. Whether you're preparing "choreography" for a special event (wedding, birthday, work, etc.), a show, or just looking to improve your skills to impress on the dance floor, the end learning of these classes is to : * perform a beautiful interpretation of the music with appropriate movements, in addition to performing a dynamic work that involves a footwork and body movements adapted * execute an appropriate technique that will allow you to shine quickly on the dance floor, relying on the strong point of private lessons * Set up style, movement, footwork, and adjusted body coordination, allowing for rapid dance progression, while taking advanced base steps and a variety of movements, allowing you to not only acquire a sensual style but also to improve his own improvisational abilities, focusing on the characteristics of modern dance. * work on your balance, your musicality, your body strength (...), while having fun, while you train and radically improve your body coordination. In summary, these courses are at the beginner level (basic steps with some general variations), intermediate (faster speed and more concentration on technique, body mechanics, control, footwork, posture, balance and more complex movements) or advanced (for slightly more experienced dancers). Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 or 3 sessions *. (* study 2020) To respond to requests received, it is indeed possible to offer this course (birthday, party, christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice. Trusted teacher: These are the classes I can offer: 1. Introduction to contemporary dance and improvisation With this workshop introduction to contemporary dance, we invite people without dance experience to taste improvisation. Dancers use different techniques to create movements. One of them is improvisation: the process of spontaneous movements, shaped by exercises that work on the imagination and empathy. The desired result of the workshop is that the participants make a connection between emotions and movement. 2. Dance classes for seniors The first part of the lesson is warming up on the chair. Inspiration drawn from gyrokinesis, a form of movement that increases spinal mobility. In combination with Pilates-based exercises for muscle activation, we prepare the body with an approach that is suitable for everyone. In the second part, the exercises continue standing with a body scan. The exercises explore every part of the body using weight, dynamics and movement qualities. The end result is the involvement of the whole body playing with rhythms and patterns in space. The class is designed for creativity, individuality and vitality maintenance. 4. “Connect-id flow” - Contemporary dance classes In the “Connect-id flow” class, the essence is to neutralize excess energy so that the dancer moves effortlessly through space. The organic sequence of movements that make up the exercises focuses on weight distribution and the movement of the spine. The accumulated kinetic energy guides our body forward in the exercises; it stimulates the continuation and relaxation of the body parts. During the warm-up, which consists of floor work, information is shared about the correct use of the limbs. As well as the importance of grounding the body to achieve softness and continuity during the execution of the movements. Once we have prepared the body, the intensity of the class builds. The weight navigates the body through space and spirals introduce more complex movements. Ultimately, the goal of the lesson is to build strength, find a smooth flow of movement and a better knowledge of the energy distribution while dancing.

Trusted teacher: 🍀 This is a class for all levels, it is centered on the pleasure of dancing and feeling your free body in motion, without judgment and by valuing our forces present in us, too often ignored. Through a playful and personalized framework, I offer exercises from my circus practice and as a dancer and I adapt to the needs of the person depending on the time, number of sessions we have together. I have a very large living room with hardwood floors that allow you to move around with ease and space perfectly. 🍁 My desire during these classes and to be able to bring the person a benevolent and encouraging look as well as several tools to gain self-confidence with movement, dance and your dancing body. To help him develop his own body language and discover/deepen another relationship to his body, another way of listening. I base myself on his desires to offer him explorations, exercises, discussion times... 🌸 Whether it's just for the pleasure of dancing, or the desire to create a video with dance, or a presentation, my goal is to provide the necessary support so that the person trusts themselves and leaves with new tools. for her. 🌻Through my practice, I take into account both the physical aspect and the psychological aspect: the feeling, our experience, the insecurities or beliefs that block us, the judgment we put on ourselves.... I am convinced that all these data are linked with our relationship to the body, to the breath, to the voice and that it is important to take them into account and take care of them. (((((🤸‍♂️I also offer courses to deepen your practice with the AERIAL HOOP but not having places and the material on me, I can only offer it to people who already have the material or a training place available! I will of course agree to move with them as far as possible :) )))))) So, if you are looking to develop your relationship to movement and to your sensitive and dancing body, do not hesitate to contact me! My schedules often change, don't hesitate to contact me directly rather than looking at the schedule! 🌼 Availability: I am often abroad for work but do not hesitate to contact me and we will try to find suitable dates!

Carl
Last year, at that the time my fiancé and I took waltz lessons from Carl for our wedding dance. It was a challenge to find dance lessons in Brussels because both of us are not Belgian and we don't speak either Dutch, or French. In addition, I am really not that good with rhythm when it comes to pre-set dances. Carl was very patient with us (me) and spoke to us in English. Not only he taught us how to dance waltz but also how to behave on the dancefloor as a couple. Everybody at the wedding was amazed of our waltz skills and they loved our wedding dance.

Daniela
Natural dancer. And also natural teacher! I had 10 classes with Daniela, they were fun, enjoyable and her attention to details greatly helped me to progress, that's despite that I started the classes as an absolute beginner to dancing generally. Top teacher.
