I obtained a Masters in secondary English education from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Louisville. I have 4+ years of experience tutoring and teaching formal classes to different proficiency levels and ages, as well as editing academic and business essays, reports and articles. I specialize in teaching English as a second language, especially in the areas of academic and business writing. I also have extensive experience in teaching beginning levels and conversational classes. Other languages I speak include Spanish, Farsi and conversational Arabic. My understanding of the cognitive processes that best facilitate language learning comes directly from my own first hand experience growing up in a bilingual household in the United States and from the training I received in my Masters program.
