I'm a 33 years old french teacher and I've been living here in Brussels for 11 years, 8 of them as a french teacher. Before that I studied political sciences and had a couple of experiences in public communication. As a teacher, I gave classes in languages centers (such as Berlitz or Semantics), so I worked and continue working in different environments like lawyer cabinets, hospitals, companies or NGO based in Brussels or with people learing french through unemployment programs). But I also give private lessons, like the one we might do together. This brought me to work with different linguistic, cultural and professionnal backgrounds as well as with very different age classes (from 5 to 65). My class is essentially based on improving communication skills, that is to say that I give an advantage to the practice of verbal expression, through simulations (of professional situations, like doing a public presentation or conducting a meeting,...) and conversation (around documents and medias like articles, audiovisual items,...). Nevertheless, when learning or doing the revision of grammar points is needed, I organize grammar items to work on too (the use of the subjonctif, la concordance des temps, how to express hypothesis,...). For that, I use primarly the book Grammaire Progressive du Français but can also use different material (I worked with some product of the editions Alter Ego more centered on workplace oriented needs for example). So my methode is "taylor-made" as I adapt the content around the needs of each students in term of their communication objectives. Afhankelijk van de doelstellingen van de student, pas ik de lessen / materialen aan. - Native French speaker, I've followed in Dutch education till my master that I finished in French. Therefore, I am a perfect bilingual. The first objective is to learn / review the basics of French with the student, grammar, and a precise vocabulary. Depending on the objectives set by the student, I can prepare appropriate lessons / materials for the courses.

Graduate student offers individualized pedagogy, assistance in preparing questions or exams. My goal is to make the student progress kindly and without overloading him. I listen to the needs of the student and adapt without problem to what he needs.

As a linguist, by one hand i never judge a spoke as good or bad, but understable or not, and by another i have every needed skill to help you to make your speak become closer to the standard french spoken in Belgium or France. I consider Languages as the window from which you can start by understanding a culture ; It says a lot about how its people think . Graduated with a French literary baccalaureate, a license in public law as well as a master's degree in international relations with various specialties related to political science, and having worked in several international organizations, I can give multiple courses at a level school but also at an adult level! I have already often given tutoring lessons when I was a student, and also French and English lessons since I started working :) I am working in Brussels with the European Union for the next 5 months so I am available to support you in a subject, to teach you French and English or even to help you prepare for exams ranging from college to graduate school.
