Marcello' Conservatory in Venice and at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Barthold Kuijken and Frank Theuns in the Baroque flute. I hold a master degree in Philosophy and Musicology as well. I hold a PhD degree in music performance at Cardiff University, School of Music. From 2013 till 2015, I have been teaching at the Venice Conservatory "B. Marcello", giving yearly lectures and seminaries on the historical repertoire for the flute. Since 2021, I have been appointed music curator of Coudenberg Sound Box Fest, a music festival which aims at celebrating the Belgian music heritage and takes place every year at the beautiful archeological site of the former Royal Palace of Brussels. I recorded for Warner Classics & Erato, and a soloist for Arcana/Outhere Music ('La solitude à deux. Solos and duets by G. P. Telemann' in 2018 and 'Affect is no Crime. New music for old instruments' in 2019). I obtained my Master degee in Flute a bec (Recorder) at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. I had already an Italian Master degree. I like teaching music and Recorder. I think I could teach music with really funny methods,starting to read music with nice books, to do general exercises for everybody. So, I'm also ready to teach music to the students who already know something, or who already play an instrument, but as well to the student who doesn't know and want to start :)

The shinobue is a flute that is used in street music but also in more sophisticated artistic performances. Japanese music has developed its own conception of beauty. Learning this music is a way to enter Japanese culture! Traditionally, Japanese music is learned orally through shoga (a song using onomatopoeia). During the course, you also experience this method and will learn several types of music. I was pleasantly surprised that she played Western classical music, contemporary music and also Japanese music. With Nozomi's knowledge of Western and Japanese music culture, it is always very inspiring for me to learn from her. Eventually, I might become a member of the Kagura band and I hope to be able to play contemporary music too in the near future. By studying shinobue, I can deepen my knowledge, insight and experience of traditional Japanese crafts and arts. Nozomi, thank you very much. The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

Lessons are individually and carefully adapted to the student’s age, level, and desired outcome. From the youngest students, to whom the music and playing the basics are served playfully based on making the music an important part of their development to advanced students with whom we can refine all the musical details and prepare for professional careers.

I specialize in tutoring the transverse flute. At this course you will learn how to improve your skills on playing the flute. It can involve also learning the basics of the music theory. The preparation for competitions and for entry exams is also a purpose of this course.

I gratuated from Conservatory of Parma (Italy), then I have done numerous specializations in high education institutions in Italy. I am also specialized in musical propaedeutics for children, in particular aged 3 to 5 years. Besides playing, I love teaching and the magic of music transmission.
