I speak West Coast (California) English. It's the English you hear in your favorite California movies. I love to help friends who already speak "european street English" while HAVING FUN! And of course we will talk a lot. When I hear an error I will correct you in a fun way, writing things for you, with FUN AND REAL examples, with drawings, ALWAYS STAYING 100% in English. That's correct, I will only speak English to you, because as you and I both know, you already speak English, and you have understood everything (or maybe 70%) of everything I just wrote. What you want is to improve or perfect your spoken English (we can work on writing, too). Immersion and fun, West Coast Style. And my university degree? Teacher graduated from the French National Education, having worked for seven years in high school, I propose sessions of academic support mainly in these three disciplines: French, English and History. These courses can be given on a regular basis or punctually according to your needs. Very accustomed to children and teenagers, during my teaching years I developed various methods to motivate discouraged students and help them achieve their goals.

I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail. For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work. It also stimulates their motivation. Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age. For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like? The lessons depend on whether the student is learning for their personal knowledge or if it's for school. -------------------------------- The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more. Depending on age and level of knowledge of English, the method will vary. I play with songs if it's for vocabulary or accent, it helps me memorize better and what's better in song... Everyone listens to music! No matter the reason for the course, if it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen the language using the active pedagogy that I learned during my CAP training. I can play the news from the BBC news channel, the weather forecast, the trailer for a film. My goal is for the learner to evolve gradually with as few gaps as possible.

I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

Understanding and knowing how to speak Dutch and English is a major asset in Belgium. I am bilingual French-Dutch and I would like to be able to help other people progress.
