About Me

I've been involved in music since fifth grade loved it since! As a performer, I was heavily involved in my high school's music program being involved in: the advanced jazz band (drum set), advanced choir (baritone), musical pit (drum set/auxiliary percussion), show band (vibraphone/tenor drums), and undefeated indoor percussion (drum set/tenor drums). I was also offered spots to play the vibraphone with the world-class Seattle Cascades Drum Corps and tenor drums with the world-class Oregon Crusaders Indoor. In college, I've performed with my school's drumline, percussion ensemble, orchestra, wind ensemble, and Arab music ensemble. I currently study music education at Cal Poly, Pomona. As a performer, audiences love my energy and expressiveness.

As a teacher, students love my laid-back nature and patience to create a stress-free learning environment. I customize my lessons to fit individual students' goals and experience. I continually ask students questions about the music and their performance. Students will be able to both analyze music and perform critically. I love teaching because I get to meet so many different people with varying backgrounds, and I would love to meet you too!

Drums & Rhythm Lessons - in a͓̽m͓̽s͓̽t͓̽e͓̽r͓̽d͓̽a͓̽m͓̽
My approach to teaching drums is focused on developing a strong understanding of rhythm in general and applying it on the drum set. I will customise my teaching approach to your needs, depending on the level of your playing and your musical desires. I'll give my best in each lesson to guide you step-by-step into becoming a better musician/drummer. You can learn about: - Polyrhythms - Groove - Technique - Macro & micro timing - Drum sounds for different genres/applications - Controlling dynamics between different limbs - Rhythm singing (konnakol) - Reading complex musical notations - Composing mathematically harmonious/inharmonious rhythms And much more... Starting from beginner, up to experienced drummers. I'm also giving rhythm lessons to non-drummers, just to anyone interested in getting to know more about the rhythmical concepts of South India - the most advanced rhythmic system on planet Earth!

Roope
Drum lessons, learn how to play the drums, music theory etc.
I can offer you private drum lessons, that are tailored completely by your own interests, or I can advice you what would be efficient for you to improve, depending on where you stand with your experience and skills. We can together discuss about setting a goal, and start working your way towards it. You don't have to have previous experience in playing the drums. You can be an absolute beginner, intermediate, or more advanced student. I also teach all ages. Some things that we can go through in lessons: -Overall knowledge over the history of the drums -Tuning & setting up the drums -Posture & technique -Groove & timing. Playing with a metronome -Sound & dynamics -Different styles (jazz, soul, funk, hiphop, latin, pop/rock etc.) -Rudimental playing (classical etudes to improve your technique) -Reading, writing & transcribing drum notes/fills/solos etc. -Improvisation -Polyrhythms Everything is possible! :) You just need to show up, grab a pair of sticks with you, and we can see what interests you and we may go further.

Alec
Drum Teacher available for technical and motivational lessons online
If you want to know not just about drum techniques and playing, but also about its history and musicianship, you'll definitely have a unique experience with my lessons. I believe drumming is not just about playing and knowing your chops, but also about being able to listen to others in the band and make sure you "be" part of the music, without resorting to thrashing around and proving to others what kind of noise you can make. Hence the phrase "A band should be as good as its drummer". :) Drumming is undoubtedly a way of building up your self-confidence, in order to establish your identity. The drums are a great use to channel your emotions, so long as you don't have to pull a Keith Moon. ;) I can also add keyboards to the mix.... But why is it relevant for a drummer, you may ask? Well, although it may look the contrary from the outside, having an ear for other instruments and chords is absolutely essential, because both your drumming nd ability to improvise contributes to the atmosphere of each song. If you want to know more, do please get in touch. I look forward to rocking out with you! :)

Drum, percussion and music theory lessons in Rotterdam!
‘’Music has the power to inspire and connect people and give them a chance to express themselves.’’ I am a drummer, teacher, composer and arranger. In my home country and abroad I have been fortunate to work with some of the best musicians and bands: Croatian TV-Radio Jazz orchestra, HGM A Band, The Frajle, Davor Krizic Experiment and many others and to lead my own bands. My qualifications: -Primary and Secondary School for Popular and Jazz Music in Zagreb -University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria (Bachelor of Music) -currently doing my master studies in jazz drums at Codarts in Rotterdam. My goal as a teacher is to recognize and bring out the potential in each student and help them find their own way of expression. In the lessons we focus on: technique, sound, coordination, reading skills, interpretation, improvisation, grooves and independence. If you are wondering: yeah, that's cool but does she like pineapple on a pizza? Or: I wonder if she thinks that hot-dog is a sandwich? I hope to answer those questions and many more on our first lesson! P.S. Lessons are taught in English and Croatian.

Rocker seeks to convey his passion for music.
Before each class, I simplify what I am going to teach so that the student does not have trouble and has fun understanding. My classes are based on the knowledge I learned in a music university and my own knowledge. The subject is approached in a free / creative way but also in a structured way.

Ethan
Professional Drummer (Metal Extrême) gives Drum Lessons (Full and Intensive Program)!
My method is to develop a unique program in which the student can find themselves and have fun while progressing, so I aim to bring what is necessary to a particular play style rather than just copy / paste from a program already pre-built. That said, I still teach generalist elements that must be understood by all: - Hardware Adjustment (Hardwares, Skins) - Heating - Correct positions to adapt - Holding Chopsticks - Desynchronization of the four members - Techniques (Curly, Ankle Motion, Dad-Mom, Heel-Toe, Blast Beat, Rolling, Derek Roddy Exercise, Fla, Ternary Exercise, Nils Fjellström Exercise, Basics ...) - Learning of songs selected by you and imposed by myself (category: Rock / Grunge / Punk / Metal for the imposed songs) - Groove, improvisation and composition work - MAO (Cubase Elements 9.5) used for MIDI Drum programming. The lessons can be given in three different contexts, on the internet, at home and in my studio. A folder with several files to continue your progress at home will be shared with you. Small precision, prioritizing the work of feeling and ear, no partition will be studied. For any information or reservations, do not hesitate to contact me!

I am primarily versed in Classical music but I have had some Jazz education as well, so we can expand your knowledge if you so desire.
