I am a current M1 student at Columbia University (New York) and the École Normale Supérieure here in Paris. I’m a Native English speaker offering personalized classes. I received my B.A. (License) in History and Classics, and I am a current part-time primary school teacher with extensive experience in teaching, tutoring, and mentorship for students of all ages. Student in letters and humanities with a C1 level in English, I teach French and English language courses. In addition, holder of a baccalaureate with honors in the scientific section, I am also able to help young people in these areas (maximum college level). My courses can be given face-to-face in Paris or online. The courses must of course be adapted according to each one. The first session makes it possible to identify the needs of the child and clearly identify his shortcomings. In general, bad bases are the source of later difficulties. It is therefore a question of focusing on this at the beginning, then of applying them as soon as possible in parallel with the dynamics of the courses. If we have the time, we can go further than what the courses offer, the objective being to give the student confidence in his abilities and encourage him to move forward independently. In addition, I adapt in a pedagogical way to children affected by dyslexia. Having worked with a speech therapist when I was young, I can help these young people overcome their apprehensions.

I am a native English speaker currently studying at University, I have been teaching English for the last year. I am happy to teach any level speaker, I can also specialise in conversational English or really help with the grammar foreign speakers can struggle with. I am also a former literature student who can help with English Literature comprehension too. I have a lot of great resources and experience, and would love to additionally share films, books and English culture with my students.

Passionate about languages, I want to share this passion with others. Bilingual in Spanish, French and English, with a B2 level in Portuguese, I am currently in the second year of a Japanese LLCER at INALCO (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations). Having given FLE and ESL lessons to teenagers and young adults, I was also a babysitter and English tutor for a year. Thus, I offer Spanish and French courses at the beginner and intermediate level, as well as English courses at the beginner, intermediate and advanced level. For those with a solid foundation who would rather practice speaking, I also offer conversation lessons in all the languages mentioned.

As an English teacher, I am dedicated to refining the reading and communication skills of my students. I create a supportive environment where students can thrive with a reflexive approach to teaching. My qualifications include a First Class Degree in English Law and French Law from The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, and the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas. Additionally, as a fluent English and French speaker with experience in babysitting, I bring a nurturing and relatable presence to the classroom.

ABOUT VALENTINE: I am a polyglot language tutor who lived in England for five years and speaks English my whole life. I graduated university in England and I achieved a TEFL certificate to teach English as a Foreign language. 
I have a C2 proficient CAE certificate, TEFL certificate and I study three other languages (Korean, German and Spanish).
 I offer online and in-person tuition to students whose first language is not English, to those who want to become more confident in daily or business conversation, or to those who need support with school work. ABOUT THE LESSON: In my lessons I teach written, spoken and listening comprehension and vocabulary in parallel.
