About Me

I am a teacher in heart and soul. After many years in front of the class, unfortunate circumstances left me with permanent injuries to my back. In order to continue to shape my passion, I started giving tutoring. At first only Dutch; later English was added. Ten years ago I did the dyslexia specialist training at Braams, in Deventer. There are many similarities between 'difficulty with language' and dyslexia, which have made me understand my students even better.

In my lessons I always try to show the 'why' of spelling or grammar. I don't work with mnemonics but with insight. The many homemade schemes and other visual material help with this. Image thinkers in particular are very satisfied with my explanation.
