I specialize in reliable work on the instrument, in order to combine technique and musical thinking and give way to music of the highest level. Adopting a correct posture and perception of the body, we are going to be able to work and build a solid system for playing the instrument.

I am a professional musician who finished his masters studies in 2020 in Codarts, Rotterdam. Lessons are intended for all levels, I can adapt my teaching to the student needs. My career is basically classical, but I am open to different styles so if you are interested on (for example) pop, jazz or rock we can just focus on what do you want to learn in order to make Theory become more practical.

From music theory to violoncello, if you are just beginning or you want an extra boost for your career this is the lesson for you! We can start with a huge field of what music is, and narrow it to the things that adapt the most to what you want to achieve with the instrument, or your goals!

The focus of this class is to learn how to play the piano but most important how to make music. Music is a language that expresses our feelings & ideas and connects us with other people but also with ourselves. Together we will can work on the basic principles and tools to play the piano, setting a healthy technique but also cultivate your personal sense of music. Further on, we can explore new repertoire and unknown composers, refine your playing and learn how to deal with difficulties, discuss about interpretation issues and even work on your performance on stage. With music theory, we can dive into the alphabet and syntactic of music: the world harmony, rhythm, solfege and analysis.

As an experienced violinist and a violin teacher, I offer violin lessons for students in every age and level of advancement. During our lessons, I will help you discover the beautiful and magical side of this instrument. BEGINNERS If you are a beginner, I will teach you some basic violin and music skills. In the first lessons, we will do simple exercises to teach you how to hold the violin and the bow in the correct and relaxed way. In the lessons, you will also learn some basic theory, reading music, and basic rhythms. From the beginning, you will be playing some nice, simple tunes and violin duets. The lessons are held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. ADVANCED STUDENTS In our first lesson, we will talk about students’ needs expectations, and level of abilities and choose the right repertoire for you. If you need some help with music theory – I can also help you with pleasure! Lessons are available in English, Polish and basic Dutch (level A2) and take place in the heart of the Rotterdam City-Center!

In the percussion field there are more instruments than you can count, it's a perfect opportunity to try out different things in the musical field and see what you like as a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. I am teaching music theory to all my students in order to deepen their musical knowledge on any instrument. I've been playing, studying, teaching and performing for over 15 years now, so I can use my experience to find good qualities in the you and develop them as much as possible. If you want to study with me I can provide a stable program for development including scores, exercises etc. In this class, we will be focusing on instruments sutch as Marimba, Vibraphone, Drum set, Latin percussion, African percussion, Djembe, Orchestral Percussion, Timpani and more. You can come to a lesson and see what you like from all the things mentioned. Do you have instruments at home? I can come to your home and spare you the travels.

ABOUT ME Hi! I am a 25 years old Greek Guitarist/Musician that just graduated from the Music Conservatory of Amsterdam and now doing my Masters in Codarts in Rotterdam. TOPICS & DESCRIPTION: Repertoire - Learning tunes/songs of your own interest and in any musical style. Hearing - Indentifying scales, chords, intervals, chord progressions and melodies by ear and being able to play them on the instrument. Theory/Harmony - This field is essential for anyone who wants to audition for a music university programme and needs basic music theory knowledge, or someone who wants to be more knowledgeable in music theory and analysis. I teach basic theory, Jazz theory/analysis, Pop Theory, and music analysis in scores. Composition - Learning techniques and ways of composing in any style of music. Technique - Soloing techniques (Alternate picking, legato, finger tapping, sweep picking, economy picking, Bending/Vibrato and expression) Scales/Arpeggios/ Modes, fingerstyle, right hand technique (For acoustic guitar) Rhythm Strumming techniques (for acoustic guitar) Improvisation: Being able to play musically and with spontaneity over different harmonic progressions and tunes. I am also specified in pop/rock and jazz improvisation.

I am a brazilian musician graduated in classical guitar, with experience in jazz and brazilian music. Everything from bossa nova, samba, choro and latin music in general is my speciality. Have been teaching for 15 years now, i developed a way of teaching music based on what the student needs to develop his/her potential. It can be more practical and playfull, or theoretical and methodical.

I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more. I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can I offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Additional Activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. Composing music can be intimidating, but it’s actually stimulating and hands-on, and it’s not all about sitting at a table in front of a paper imagining music. In these lessons you’ll learn about composition techniques, harmony, melody, rhythm, form, composing through improvisation, and much more. Everything you need to translate your ideas into your own preferred genre of music. Depending on your background and musical preferences, we will adjust the content of the lessons so that it fits you best. The lessons can be done in English, Dutch, Spanish or Catalan.

Hello!! I'm Marina, I'm 23 years old and I come from the Basque Country (North of Spain). I finished my bachelor's degree in San Sebastián (Spain) and I came to The Hague 3 years ago to continue my Flute studies. I am currently in my second year of my Master's degree at Codarts (Conservatory of Arts in Rotterdam). As a passionate musician, I would like to help you and teach you all the knowledge I have about the flute and music in general. I adapt to the needs and interests of each person, choosing the most suitable materials and methods for your goal. Any age, any level (from beginner to advanced, preparation for entrance exams, auditions, etc.), any genre and musical tastes. I live in The Hague and study in Rotterdam, so I am available to teach in both cities! I can teach in English, Spanish and Basque. The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. In my lessons I'll garantee you learn all this skills and you start making music since the very first day.

Bandoneon is a very well know instrument for playing tango, in fact it's part of the genre's DNA. However, not many people know that the instrument was constructed in Germany and some people even say it was supposed to be used as an portable organ. This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?

COURSE FOR VOCALISTS / SINGER SONGWRITERS "You don't need to be able to play the piano well to learn to accompany songs in a beautiful way in a short time" Do you want that? For example, because you want to learn to guide yourself better as a vocalist and/or singer-songwriter or other vocalists in your teaching practice? That's possible with me. I have developed a method that allows you to learn this quickly. My method provides general insight very quickly and at the same time is focused on you as an individual from the start. Skills/conditions required for this course: - be able to read music notes - basic knowledge of chords on the piano - in possession of an (electric) piano - time for daily tutorial It concerns a course of 5 lessons, in principle during 5 consecutive weeks. The first two lessons may be split so that I can help you on your way every few days. Depending on your (style) taste and level, we determine together which songs we will tackle. What you learn in 5 weeks you can apply to other songs after the course. Of course you can also contact me for individual (piano) lessons, songwriting and theory.
