Hello, I am Josh from Australia and I currently live in France. I am an English teacher and tutor. My approach to teaching is based mostly on the Communicative Method. Everything we do - reading, writing, listening, grammar has an end goal of serving a communicative purpose. I do not lecture, and I try to keep my talking to a minimum. It is about You, and you should be talking the most. I like to elicit and get a lot of information from my students', that helps in building their confidence in the language and reducing my teacher talk time. And finally, my approach is FUN. We need to enjoy what we are doing. I create lessons that are engaging, motivating and interesting. We need to have a laugh and not take things too seriously. Language is play and play is fun, if it's not then we will get bored. I have been teaching English for over 8 years now in a few different countries. I love teaching English and getting the most out of my students. I take a great interested in supporting you in your language journey and success. With me, I will support you, challenge you, and create lessons specifically for you. That way, you will enjoy the lessons and see improvement. Generally, I create a lesson built around a theme or topic and from there I introduce a 'bite size' instruction for revision and practice. For example, a new grammar or vocabulary topic. I am a trilingual student (French, English and Romanian) in the last year of my degree in literature and didactics at the University of Strasbourg (France). I specialize in French, English and Romanian language courses as well as in the preparation of language tests (DELF or DALF, TOEFL…) The first session allows us to determine your level and your objective during a friendly and structured discussion. At the end of this session, I establish a personalized learning contract with you. The following sessions take place in the form of conversation workshops during which we work on topics related to your learning contract. I am a student of French and Italian mother tongue, I obtained a bac in LANGUAGES in Rome and I obtained the C1 certificate in English in 2019, because I had the opportunity to study at the abroad in 2018 and 2019, in Scotland and Canada.
