Piano Lessons with two Grand Pianos. Preparations for ABRSM and Competition.

There are two grand pianos at the location. There will be enough distance between the student and the teacher.

For children it is important to develop basic musical skill through Singing, Rythmique and Ear training besides the piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, a main text book and a theory book. Through these 3 books students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grade.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercise too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the number from 1 to 5 and alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who wants to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams or the entrance exam of conservatory.

Concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin and composition teachers.

For the age 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

Extra information

For the beginners the first few lessons can be without an instrument. Later you will need to prepare an instrument with 88 Keys.

Joel
Piano Lessons for Beginners and Amateurs. Classical, Pop, Improvisation and Own Compositions.
I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, singer, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree at the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 6 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old. Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop-music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like. The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

Alethea

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7, and have been playing the violin for 15years. I am currently continuing my violin studies at a Conservatory. I have also attended music theory class for 6 years, because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

João
Piano lesson, harpsichord lesson, keyboard lesson, music theory
Over João R. Hello everyone! My name is João, piano and harpsichord player. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop. I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life! I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated. I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory. Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson. I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director. If you are willing to learn how to play the piano or continue your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to show you how learning a keyboard instrument has so much to add in your life. I can give lessons at my studio in The Hague or travel to your destination. I look forward to meeting you and guide you through the wonderful world of music!

Lise
Piano lessons for children/adults, beginner/intermediate
Music lessons in a variety of genres, tailor-made for whatever the student (child or adult) requires. I can teach in a strict "classical" style or any song that the student might want to learn (as a composer I am quite savvy in arranging existing songs in any style and for any level). Input (daily practise) is required from the student for productive lessons and, if necessary, homework is given every week. I have experience with individual or group lessons.

Caterina
Harp, Piano and Music lessons/workshops for students of any age
By mixing this learning together with my harp (and basic piano) skills, my goal as a Music teacher now is not only to teach you “the right notes”: I will do my best for you to enjoy Music, to discover the instruments, to be creative and curious, to give space to your ideas and to express yourself through playing, using few words but a lot of practice. Every lesson will be a moment of reciprocal exchange of knowledge and ambitions, a new adventure for everyone to learn from each other.

Piano Lessons for all ages, levels and musical taste - at the students' home
Hello! I am a classical pianist in the final year of my Master's Degree at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. I have 5 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology focus on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while, at the same time, passing on my knowledge to help the student to develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music. During the lessons, there are several aspects of piano playing that I can help with, according to the student's aims and musical level: - learning how to read scores - basics of music theory - develop technical capabilities - learning how to play by heart - finding your musical taste - preparing demanding works for piano exams And the most important aspect, to have fun and enjoy the journey!

Cello classes, musical language and basic level of piano
Classes suitable for all ages, levels and tastes. It is not required to have prior knowledge of music. In my classes I offer you in a pleasant and effective way the mind-body integration with the cello. I will quickly teach you how to solve a passage, find the root of a problem, clarify solfeggio doubts and incorporate it into the cello with a physical feeling of comfort, that you feel comfortable and that you can finally enjoy the music you are able to make :) If you are starting into the cello, all the above is valid, it will be your base for takeoff! And if you are already initiated in the instrument, my classes will serve as reinforcement to be able to incorporate new elements that will facilitate your execution. It is a great pleasure for me to be able to accompany each of my students on the path of learning such a beautiful instrument and I am committed to giving my best every moment. I will try to teach you the way you need, individually for each student, and up to the level you want to reach. I choose pieces and exercises from different books, while guiding the students on practising songs that they personally like. I also provide basic music theory notes and knowledge, to help with the understanding of the piano and music in general. Every lesson is an opportunity to learn something new with main purpose the musicality, expression and enjoyment! The piano lessons are fun and productive at the same time! Luis
Piano lessons for children and adults in The Hague!
Teaching music is teaching a new language. A language that must be learned in all its different forms (speaking/playing, listening, reading and writing) in order to be understood. One of my main interests as a piano teacher is to provide the students with the most possible instruments for their own development, in order to awaken in them the consciousness of being as they play their instrument. In the current experience, everything is moving ahead of you at a very fast pace and almost even digested. To come into contact with the art of playing the piano is to immerse yourself in the most beautiful experience of self-discovery while making music, in a bottomless sea of inner growth. Teaching is another form of communication, keeping traditions alive and giving life to the information by passing it on. My passion is to communicate through the language of music art, using it as a bridge to reach souls, the souls of tomorrow who will keep this tradition alive.
