I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills. I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor)at Complutense University of Madrid and Linguistics in Leiden University. Depending on the goal, the learning or lesson method is different. Normally, the first day I meet the student and we talk about what he or she expects and the topics we need to pay more attention. From that, I organise and structure a learning plan for reaching the desired goals (listening, speaking, writing, etc) or level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

I specialize in teaching both English and maths for all ages, I have worked with children from the age of five for maths tutoring. I plan each tutorial individually based on every student's learning goals and can be adapted at any stage for better performance.

English is an important language to learn in today's world or just to add another skill to your life. In my English classes we will set up a custom plan for your language learning needs. We can focus on speaking, reading, writing, listening, or all of the above. I am very flexible in my lessons to cater towards your needs. Classes will consist of conversation, practice exercises, language games, and listening exercises.

I grew up in New Zealand and lived there for 6 years. Additionally, I received a one-year scholarship to study in the USA, which means I speak English as good as a native speaker. I have taken English classes in primary, middle, and high school. I have also taken English Literature classes and Presentation Speaking classes in English. During my final year of high school, taking the International Baccalaureate Program and English B at Higher Level, I received a 7 (highest grade) on my final oral exam and a 7 on my final written exam. I am able to tutor in holding conversations, meaning learning through having discussions with a native speaker. I may also teach literature, the analysis of texts, prepare for exams such as International Baccalaureate, SAT, or basic standardized testing. I believe English is the international language of the world and is a basic tool of the 21st century. However, at times, it may seem complex. I believe teaching through having discussions is the best way to learn. I would prepare structured classes that would enable you to learn effectively and repeat the previously acquired knowledge in order to memorize it and successfully become more fluent and comfortable in the language. Hi I am 20 years old and am currently a student at Leiden University doing a bachelor of sciences in environmental sustainability. I completed my A levels in Maths, Physics and Biology with grades A in Maths and Biology. I also did an AS level in Chemistry from the British School in the Netherlands. I love science and geography and did my primary education in English and got all grade 9s in my science and geography GCSEs and a grade 8 in Maths. I have some prior tutoring experiences as well so I hope I will be able to use it all to help you get your target grades for any exam. In this lesson I aim to help students with their conversational skills. If you’re looking to improve your Spanish, you have an exam or are travelling abroad, this could be a good option. My system consists in: 1. objective definition 2. Execution through in class practice 3. Feedback 4. Study/review by the student And repeat. By knowing your goals; weak points for improvement, the class can be oriented in that direction. If you still don’t know your goals (for example: practicing shopping conversation, or improving use of grammar), the class will provide with the observations and feedback needed to improve your level of Spanish.
