    About Me

    My name is Beatriz GaIán and I was born in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). There I began my piano studies, continuing them in the Basque Country, where I studied a degree specializing in contemporary music.
    I have spent 24 years of my life training as a classical pianist. However, I grew up, practically from the cradle, listening to Jazz. During my childhood, Ella Fitzgerald, Rhythm and Blues, funky and soul music played on the record player at home. That's why I have a strong connection with this style and I researched classical piano repertoire with Jazz influences during my master's studies.

    Experience / Qualifications

    I worked as a piano and chamber music teacher for five years in various music schools and conservatories in Mallorca.
    I worked as a repeater for several choirs at the Teatro Principal de Ópera de Palma de Mallorca, "Teatre Principal". I worked for its four choirs, touring with the titular opera choir in Mallorca and Menorca and collaborating in productions such as Benjamin Britten's Noye's Fludde, Jules Massenet's opera Werther, and performing repertoire by Ola Gjeilo, Morten Lauridsen, etc.
