Brain studies repeatedly show how important it is to keep learning. In playing piano you increase your concentration, you use your fine motor skills, you learn the language music and you make something beautiful! Music feeds the soul and you are never too young or too old to start. Practice you do at home, in your own environment. Every lesson I would like to inspire you to get further, in a relaxed atmosphere and at your own pace. With over 30 years of experience, I have enough material to challenge you, but you can always come up with your own ideas.

I want to share my passion and love of music playing with people of any age. As a late learner starting at grade 7, it took me less than 4 years to pass the highest level of piano (grade 8) and music theory (grade 5 at almost full mark )with ABRSM, Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. How can I achieve it? Simply because it's so fun for me as well as some unique personal training skills! I would like to share what I have learned with anyone who would like to start their piano journey now, or just a few classes to verify the interest level. I will teach you some basic music theory and skills, but more importantly, I believe everyone has their own unique strengths and interests, so my course will focus on personalized training. I will help you to achieve your personal goal, no matter it is playing your favorite song, playing as a gift for your friends/family, or taking a certain music exam. Maybe I am not so professional in teaching (so you get the benefit of paying not so professional price!), but I am sure I will be a good companion to enlighten the joy of music with you.

I provide piano playing and music theory lesson for beginners and intermediate players. I have more than 15 years experience in learning music theory, piano and keyboard playing (self-taught). An instrument (small digital keyboard for example) must be provided for the at home lessons :)

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. At the beginning of the course, I will evaluate your level and give you recommendations of what we can work on. There are two main types of courses: - a hobbyist course: it won’t be time consuming. I will help you learn new pieces and a little theory and solfege. The primary goal of this course is to make you enjoy playing in your spare time without having to practice too much. - a professional course: in this course I will help you reach the level of a professional musician. I will give you an insight of how to prepare a piece or pieces for a competition or an audition. I will also teach a lot of theory and solfege so that you can prepare for a conservatory or a school of music.

Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.
