We will talk about your goals and together we will figure out what you exactly need to level up . I will design a practise schedule for you with suitable exercises that you personally enjoy and find it fun, cos hey, music is supposed to be a stress buster, but that being said you gotta work to get better at anything. We will also talk about how it is to be a professional musician in the current music scene, and what skills apart from drumming is needed to be a musician. I have learned my teaching skills from famous cello pedagogues from all over the world. I have experience in teaching to children as well as adults and I consider essential that we both have fun while learning such a wonderful thing as playing music! FOR ONE IT GOES A LITTLE FASTER, WHERE IT SOMETIMES NEEDS A LITTLE MORE TIME FOR THE OTHER. OF COURSE IT MAY ALSO BE THAT YOU ARE A LITTLE LESS OF THE CLASSICAL MUSIC AND YOU WANT TO EXPLORE THE POP SCENE, BUT YOU CAN OF COURSE STICK TO THE CLASSICAL MUSIC. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE MUSIC IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE, SO THAT'S WHY IT'S CUSTOMIZED. For children from 2 to 8 years old I use the colorstrings method. This method ensures that the student practices each level equally efficiently and the hearing is stimulated and stimulated to work, in addition to training the reading work. It is a method that can be practiced very easily at home without a teacher.

As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a pianist and violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. For young children, I tend to use a more interactive approach to explain complicated music theories, yet strict in the fundamentals such as posture and rhythm. For adults, I am always happy to discuss with them my lesson plan and choose the best exercises and songs that suit their music interests and needs. For my students who would like to take exams, I am happy to tailor the lessons based on their progress. I believe in the quality of learning and understanding rather than the number of pieces that they learn. Many beginners and their parents have put their trusts in me and achieved distinction in their first ABRSM exam. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and a native speaker of Cantonese Chinese. Hello, everyone! I'm Val, and I'm a violinist. I also enjoy teaching and am ready to share my expertise of master the violin with both kids and adults 🎶 I began my music education in Minsk, and later, I earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in music at KULeuven in Belgium.

Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of flute playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and flutist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (soon) Dutch. My teaching method is variable depending on the students' needs, but the goal is shared: to make a great musician and qualified flutist out of the pupil. I work on both technical and musical aspects from a (very) consciously prepared healthy and enjoyable perspective. Particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones! I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the flute playing which includes: Introduction to Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too. I can teach in various places near or in the centre of Amsterdam, or, depending on the need, I can move to pretty much wherever in The Netherlands.

Greetings! I am a graduate of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I also completed a Diploma in Music Education and Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music before coming to The Netherlands. I have had lots of experience teaching in schools and privately, and I get so much joy teaching people and helping them learn an instrument. My main goal as a teacher is to help students find their passion and love for music and for playing an instrument. I am also very practical in my approach to teaching, always trying to make things as clear as possible for each and every student to understand. I have plenty of experience teaching people of all ages. I also have a good knowledge of individual personalities and temperament which helps me to tailor the lesson to suit you individually. When teaching young children, I find that using various different games with and without the instrument helps a lot with their understanding and development. This resonates well with their impressive abilities to play for many hours every day - something which I think is very important for young children to make the most of while they have it. My understanding of the lessons is that every student should come out with the best feeling of wanting to improve their playing, and I always try to motivate every student in whichever way works best for them. I am also very open to using different approaches when it is not working for the student, and I am known to listen very well to feedback like this. I am flexible with the styles of music I teach and have experience in many different genres. If you need some ideas, together we can find the music that suits you best. The majority of students who start out do so on the violin, and some change to viola some time later. Some students who begin their musical journey on the violin go on to play not only viola but other stringed instruments such as cello and double bass if they grow away from the violin at any stage - so choosing violin in the beginning will certainly give you the most options.
