Hi I'm Daniel, an enthusiastic and dedicated guitar teacher who loves meeting his students' own goals. By combining my 6 years of experience in teaching guitar with my students' own interests, I help my students make progress in the most engaging way possible. I provide my students with a grounding in the basics of technique and theory to make sure they develop good habits, enabling them to make use of the near-infinite resources online when they want to play and learn more in their free time and later in life. I believe a good teacher is one who makes their students able to go on independently and with joy and passion for their instrument. I've been playing the piano with great passion for 18 years, and over the past 5 years, alongside my studies and music-making endeavors, I've been teaching multiple students ranging from 7 to 50 years old. My expertise lies in truly understanding music theory and composing and improvising music. Having played in many pop and jazz (big) bands and creating daily compositions for solo piano and bands, I've developed an enthusiasm for these genres that I love to impart to my students. In recent years, I've also been heavily involved in music production, and lessons in this direction are also possible! I often use theory as a background to contextualize the songs we practice (which are often chosen by the student themselves). I use these songs to convey improvisation and composition skills. Additionally, I believe it's important for the student to develop their own way of learning. I strive to create a free yet disciplined learning environment.

I will design a practice schedule for you with suitable exercises that you personally enjoy and find fun, cos. I am 21 years old and I am currently a flute student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I finished my studies in conservatories in France and obtained a license in music and musicology at the Sorbonne (Paris IV). I offer personalized lessons meeting the desires and ambitions of everyone, from the simple beginner to the confirmed musician. For the flute lessons, I offer exercises for sound, technique, adapted pieces. During music theory lessons, I can give tips for learning to read keys, rhythms, and offer dictations. Studying the theory allows you to learn to recognize chords, to calculate a score, to analyze the structure of a piece, to recognize the style from musical elements. It is possible to combine several lessons, for example half an hour of flute then a quarter of an hour of music theory.

The piano is one of the most universal instruments. As a piano player you can be your own orchestra and play as a soloist, but you can also make beautiful music or accompany ensembles, in any musical style. In my lessons I want to offer the student a broad foundation on the piano: learn to read notes, play and interpret existing pieces of music learn to listen carefully, play it by ear and after a while learn to make your own piano part playing with chord progressions, gaining insight into harmony and chord theory learn to improvise and come up with your own pieces teamwork, because this way you learn to listen even better My own roots lie in classical music, which provides a good technical basis for the instrument. Ever since I was a student, I have enjoyed making music the most when you discover various music genres (such as classical, jazz, pop, world music) for yourself. This way you learn to connect these different musical worlds. As a teacher, I want to pass on all these possibilities to the student, so that after playing the piano for a while, he/she can determine his/her own path.

This class focuses on the main aspects of classical guitar performance and education and will be adapted regarding the student's own knowledge, skills, and ambitions -knowledge of the fretboard -music reading; -music interpretation; -body and hand posture; -left and right-hand technique exercises; -memory exercises for playing by heart; -guidance in the organizing of the student's practice schedule; -preparation for admission exams in music schools (ex. Sweelinck Academy) and Music Conservatories; -preparation for classical guitar competitions and recitals.

Violin and viola are beautiful string instruments that can be challenging but also very fun to learn and you do need a good teacher to help you with that! Besides being a professional viola player, I am also studying teaching and music education, in order to become a better teacher and adequate my approach according to the individual needs of each student. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.
