I have been playing the piano since I was five. I graduated from a specialized music school in Kiev and now I am a student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I teach classical, jazz and pop music. I have a very positive approach in teaching and will try to generate a motivating environment, as I understand that learning piano can be frustrating for some! My goal is to help you enjoy piano as well as seeing steady progress.

Hi, I'm Federica, I am Italian and I am a jazz piano player and singer, I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I'm doing my Master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I give piano jazz/pop/classical piano lessons but my main goal is to try to give to the student a general underestanding of the music in order to approach every style and to have fun with music! I really love to work with children, I like to teach them good values like patience, selfe-confidence, trust, communication, collaboration, all through the music. Former student at the Paris conservatory in piano, jazz/improvisation/classic and graduate of a bachelor's degree in music and musicology from La Sorbonne University, I would be delighted to share with you my passion for music. I already have a very good experience in teaching as I have taught in private schools and as a home teacher in Paris, with students ranging from 5 to 40 years old, and that over than seven years of teaching. Whether you are an avid music lover or a student at the conservatory wanting to improve your musical analysis, I will always approach my teaching in an entertaining and not too academic way. Having had very different student profiles during my teaching, I will adapt to the needs of the student but also to their level. In classic piano I can teach both beginners and intermediates. In jazz piano/improvisation up to advanced Music theory and analysis up to very advanced (we can analyse a non-functional musical language, modal and even Schoenberg if you fancy it) But that's not all. As I am currently a student at Abbey Road Institute, but also hold a master's degree in Computer Music from Gustave Eiffel University, I can teach you music production and post-production. The subject matter is quite vast but with my studies at conservatories, university and school I can mix many areas of music that lead to composition and computer production. I am very comfortable with Logic Pro, so if you are a beginner, or advanced we can always find something to play with. (for the more advanced for example: bus architecture, preset, template, workflow...) I can also teach protools and mixing at intermediate to advanced level. I would be delighted to pass on my musical knowledge to you whether it is instrumental, theoretical or computer production.

Hello! I am pleased to be offering piano lessons to beginner and intermediate level students! Alongside the technicalities of playing the instrument, I have a broad knowledge of different genres of music. If you are interested in writing your own music that is wonderful! I will be delighted to give you all the skills you need. We can begin with any genre of music from the first lesson. Knowledge of how to read sheet music is not necessary for beginners. I trained in piano at the TUD Conservatory of Music in Dublin, and have had many performance opportunities there and in Amsterdam. I have also been taking regular piano lessons and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam since I arrived here. I have taught piano in various different music schools and programmes in Ireland, but my main experience is from private teaching.

Whether piano, songwriting/composition, music theory I bring all that I have learned and developed as a musician to the lesson in the interest of the student’s growth. Whether we work in classical or pop, We focus on what will directly fit your individual goals. We can cover the full spectrum of technique, theory, ear training, sight-reading, and performance. Music is Play! and everyone is its own game. Understand and make only the music you like. If it isn't fun, it can't be music! I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now! Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it: - What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar? - Which instruments (or plugins) are being used. - Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary. - And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire? At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it. For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose. PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques. I am a graduating student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam studying jazz piano under the supervision of the masters in the school. I have experience in teaching beginners how to start improvising. You can trust me, I will push you and make you learn it. Improvisation can be learned if the right tools are offered to the beginner. I know what methodology works for upbringing a beginner to start improvising, swinging, composing a tune. I can guide through all the scales that jazz musicians use, common chord harmonies used by Bud Powell, Mccoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock - and most importantly ideas behind it; or you might think you know scales and can't use them in creative way, I will teach you how to make it a logical language. Swing is the most important element in improvising in a jazz context, and I will guide you on how to practice getting the swing feel, that drives jazz music. Generally, I give lots of assignments, papers, so it would be nice the student knows how to read sheet music. I am studying Bachelor Pop Guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I can help you in different matters, such as performance, ear training or music theory. All the aspects will be link together in order to learn effectively! In my guitar lessons, we will develop your skills in the instrument to get a better and more personal tone, and feel more confident when improvising or playing in different styles. We will get there by learning songs, scales, chords, different techniques and putting all of them together. I am a professional recorder and flute player with a passion for both early and contemporary music, offering lessons on the recorder, flute, piano and in music theory in the Amsterdam area and online. I graduated from a Masters in recorder at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Cum Laude, with a scholarship from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Previously, I graduated from the Royal College of Music London with a First- Class Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Flute and Recorder. In 2021 I was a finalist for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition as part of the London Early Music Festival. I am an encouraging and dedicated teacher who believes that effective practice, rather than talent, is at the heart of any musical development. I share my expertise in how to practice well, varying your approach to make different connections rather than just repeating things - this also helps to keep practice interesting! I am also keen to help each student find their own voice and expression through music, tailoring lessons to each students needs and goals.
