Playing guitar is a fun, stimulating, and exciting skill. Allow me to teach you how to play. Levels anywhere from just starting out to intermediate, I will help you become used to the instrument and teach you basics in technique, form, and function of the instrument. We can jam, I can teach you chords, notes, or your favorite song and each class will be tailored to what you want to achieve with the instrument. I have been playing guitar for 13 years and its a great skill to have for stress relief, having a creative outlet, and just having fun.

We will start with finding out what your wishes are and setting learning goals. The lesson will be one-to-one and can have a duration from half an hour/1 hour depending on your needs and schedule. We will always start from your musical wishes and sort out what kind of techniques we need to develope musical skills on the instrument. I graduated in classical violin (Bachelor+Master) in 2013 and in jazz violin (Bachelor) in 2016. I completed my Master of Music at ArtEZ University of the Arts year in 2013. The lessons are ment for every age and level. The lessons can take place at my house and will be in english, italian or german (since I'm italian/german).

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. I have experience teaching several music genres, from classical, jazz, pop, folk music and even extended vocal techniques like growls. Singing is a vulnerable, intimate, communal act, and sadly, our modern world has mystified it into the sphere of the "born-talent" ideal. I consider singing an universal right. We all have the capacity and the right to sing. If anybody has told you that you can't sing, they were wrong. Like any skill, you can learn it. And if you sing, you, your body, and your soul will be happier. One of my students once said: "You come for a singing lesson and you discover something new about who you are". I think that would summarize well the space I try to create in my lessons.

A question I would love to answer with you in one of our tutoring sessions. I can work with younger children to establish basics, right the way through to adults wishing to perfect their speaking skills. In addition, I have a plethora of English texts to work with for students wishing to focus on English Literature. I have an A-level and GCSE qualification in English. I've been playing the piano with great passion for 18 years, and over the past 5 years, alongside my studies and music-making endeavors, I've been teaching multiple students ranging from 7 to 50 years old. Having played in many pop and jazz (big) bands and creating daily compositions for solo piano and bands, I've developed an enthusiasm for these genres that I love to impart to my students. In recent years, I've also been heavily involved in music production, and lessons in this direction are also possible! I often use theory as a background to contextualize the songs we practice (which are often chosen by the student themselves). I use these songs to convey improvisation and composition skills. Additionally, I believe it's important for the student to develop their own way of learning. I strive to create a free yet disciplined learning environment.
