Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Born 2000 in Frankfurt am Main. I received my first cello lessons at the age of 5 from Mercedes van Gunsteren. In 2011 she moved to Vienna and was accepted into Maria Grün's gifted class at the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School. Since September 2015 I have been admitted to the preparatory course with Prof. Nagy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2018 I started my regular studies in the class of Prof. Vardai.
In 2012 I won first prize at the national competition of Prima la Musica, in 2013 second prize at the international cello competition in Liezen and in 2015 second prize at the international David Popper competition in Varpalota, Hungary. I took part in master classes with Prof. Latzko, Prof. Kropfitsch, Prof. Wen-Sinn Yang, Prof. Mlejnik, Prof. Rivinius and David Geringas.
I also played the Saint Saens Cello Concerto No. 1 in 2016 and the Beethoven Triple Concerto and Haydn C major Concerto with the Franz Schmidt Chamber Orchestra in 2018. In addition to solo performances, I have also appeared in various chamber music formations.

Higher Graduate (with masters) in Cello and Conducting teaches music at all levels
My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

    Paula
Cello and music theory - instructions for beginners and intermediate students.
Music is very interesting both as a profession and as a hobby, but in the beginning we all face difficulties when it comes to playing an instrument. But with a little guidance, hard work and patience you can get the results you want... it's proven :) My name is Paula, I'm 25 years old and I enjoy teaching and working with enthusiastic people, because as I said, teaching others is actually teaching yourself ;). My field of study is music interpretation (cello), at the Ghent Conservatory. The way of teaching will suit the level of the student (for beginners I divide the lessons into two parts: half basic music theory and the other half cello), and I will always have my cello with me to illustrate. If you are interested in playing this beautiful instrument, do not hesitate to write to me. And never forget: music is beautiful, not difficult.
