I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make an effort to understand what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. I believe that an honest and friendly relationship between teacher and student is essential for this exchange of ideas to happen more clearly and fluently, so I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts freely. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. In this class, you will learn: - how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques. - how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music. - how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques. - how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition. - about the theory and practice of free improvisation. - about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today. - how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice. - how to create an artistic portfolio. Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.). The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals. Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

I try to make sure all my students leave the class with a new idea, a fascination, or a new question in their minds about whatever they want to do but most importantly with a smile. After many years of experience on stage, touring, in studio and teaching, I can offer music production lessons, music theory lessons, recording and producing techniques for all levels and necessities!

The structure of the lesson is based on the pupil’s preference in music style, instrument combinations and others. We will talk about the harmony, rhythm and form while the pupil will be asked to create his/her own short works/songs. I always find fascinating to analyze music of the past (for example some of your favorite songs, instrumental works and others) in order to gain a deeper understanding of how these were created and from what musical ingredients they consist. Furthermore, integral part of this course is the understanding of the possibilities of each instrument and the combination of more than one. In this course, you can also learn how to use music notation softwares such as Finale and Musescore in order to notate your own music easily and fast.

Learn to translate your creative ideas into your music! During these lessons you learn composition techniques to create your own compositions or to improve them. Techniques to help you to give a voice to your musical ideas! Your tunes for several instrumentations, e.g.: strings, woodwinds, brasses, percussion, jazz, pop/rock, or various combinations. We discuss what your musical preferences are and which way we go. In any case, fun is paramount! There's also the possibility to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (Chords/Harmony), and/or Jazz Hanon (Chord-Melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (also with your own Compositions/Tunes, etc.), so we we can see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond. The lessons are for all ages/levels and are taught in Dutch, English, Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese. Online lessons are also possible via Skype, Zoom or Face Time!

Hi! My name is Zoë and I am an oboist. I have completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University and am now starting my Master of Music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Den Haag. I love to share my passion for music with others, and in my lessons you will learn about music that interests you and most importantly, have fun! I have been teaching for six years. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, in individual lesson environments, group lessons, reed making lessons, small ensemble tutoring, and orchestral tutoring. I have experience with all genres of classical music, and have a strong background in music theory, aural skills, musicology, and composition. Lessons with me will incorporate all skills involved to become a well rounded musician. Some of the highlights of my musical career so far have included being principal oboist and orchestral manager of the Australian National University Orchestra and performing E. Goossens' Oboe Concerto at their 2022 Concerto Gala, playing tutti oboe in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, principal oboe in the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra's Young Mannheim Symphonists Orchestra, and performing in the Olive Trio, a chamber music ensemble consisting of oboe, violin and harp, made up of members of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. I give lessons in Dutch and English.

I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 7 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old. Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like. The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

I share you my skills in playing the double bass with different techniques for jazz, classical, early music as well as arranging, composition, harmony and rhythm. I have masters in early music and classical double bass from Royal Conservatory of The Hague and active as jazz musician.

Japanese professional pianist, conductor and composer, graduated at Conservatoire du Paris, Tokyo University of Arts and Fontys, I give music lessons according to the needs (including the place of the lesson) of each student. I have been teacher at Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM) for 8 years. Currently I work sometimes at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. As my parents who are both chorus conductor and music teacher, teaching is always my big passion beside of my activity on stage ! Ableton Live is a powerful program to play, compose and improvise music with. This course provides hands-on experience in producing, mixing, and sound design with a digital audio workstation. Students will learn the fundamentals characteristics of sound and digital audio, creative ways of composing music and an introduction to signal processing such as equalization, compression, delay, and reverb. In addition to core audio and mixing concepts, students will learn various production techniques, such as sequencing, arranging, automation, using virtual instruments (eg synths, samplers, and drum machine plugins), working with MIDI, plugin formats such as VST / Audio -Units, and mapping digital USB controllers for the studio and live performances.
