This class will be about learning fundamentals of music and a guitar by learning songs! The topics we can discuss in the lessons will be - Learning tunes (Pop, Folk and Rock to Jazz Standards) - Improvisation - Composing - Theory (harmony, meter, tempo, form, key, scales) - Ear training (developing to recognise different intervals, scales, chord progression and being able to sight-sing) If requested, we can talk about other musical topics, too! such as which pedals we should buy!! :-)

I am a professional musician graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam(Master degree, Jazz Department). I have a wide experience of teaching and performing which I would be glad to share with you. On our lessons we can consider such aspects of performing as: - breathing - sound quality - phrasing - lips flexibility and legato - articulation - sight reading - improvisation I am flexible in process of teaching. The lessons are designed by the teacher, Ernesto, a graduated trumpeter from Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, with experience being an international musician, to expose the student to the various aspects of trumpet performance and to develop a course of study to help him/her develop and maintain a good performance skills starting from any level. In case the student is not a trumpet player, but wants to develop his/her musical skills by learning the theory, this course is also designed for that. The course is designed to aid the student in achieving the following objectives: -Learn the basics of musical performance with special attention to rhythm, tone quality, musical phrasing, range, intonation, improvisation, ear training and style. -Develop the ability to perform music from different jazz periods. -Develop the ability to play in a trumpet section (Big Band, Commercial sections, Latin sections, etc.) -Demonstrate the ability to perform and understand music in varied key signatures, keys, and meter signatures. -Develop the student ́s creative skills by working on the student ́s abilities to compose and arrange the student ́s own music. -Prepare the students for the entrance examinations to Conservatories and other educational institutions.

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
