About Me

I'm a 23 years old violinist from Portugal, I started playing the violin at the age of 6 together with football, when I was 15 years old I decided to take another academic path and followed a science and technologies course, it was in those 2 years that I realized I actually enjoyed the violin and I changed my academic path again and returned studying the violin. I abandoned football at the age of 18 to fully dedicate myself to the violin and since then I did my professional course, bachelor and I'm currently doing my master degree in Classical violin at the Royal Conservatory The Hague.
As a violinist, I want to become an Orchestral Musician, a teacher and a chamber music performer.
My teaching experience is not very wide. I had a student and did some teaching replacement. But I'm here to change it! I'll to try to inspire you and pass the knowledge that has been passed to me throughout the years.

Education

*Professional diploma in Music after completing a 3-year Professional Course in the National Conservatory in Lisbon;
*Bachelor in Orchestral Studies at the Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies, in Lisbon;
*Currently on my first year of MA in Classical Violin at the Royal Conservatory the Hague

Experience / Qualifications

Since I arrived in The Hague this year I played with the Nationaal Jeugdorkest on the winter tour, I played with the Residentie Orkest on the Benefit Concert for Ukraine and I regularly play with the Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Conservatory The Hague.
In Portugal, I took part in many youth Orchestras and also played with professional Orchestras.
Violin masterclasses with Ani Schnarch, Gian Paolo Peloso, Eliot Lawson, Stephan Picard, José Pereira, Pedro Meireles, Ana Pereira;
Chamber music masterclasses with Vera Martinez (Casals Quartet), Marc Danel (Danel Quartet)
My lesson will depend on each student's goal. If you are a student who wants to learn an instrument as a hobby and has never had contact with an instrument before, I will teach you the basics (from holding the violin and bow and playing easy tunes on the violin to teaching how to read notes and rhythms). If you are a student with years of experience and already know the basics, I can help you with the repertoire you are playing, or give you and prepare new pieces with you, I will help you improve your practice sessions and help you prepare auditions or performances. I give lessons in English or Portuguese but can also manage to speak Spanish

Guitar, Mandolin, Music Theory lessons by enthusiastic tutor and performer
Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

Experimental electronic music composition / Free improvisation (theory & practice)
Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need. In this class, you will learn: - how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques. - how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music. - how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques. - how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition. - about the theory and practice of free improvisation. - about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today. - how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice. - how to create an artistic portfolio. Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.). The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals. Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

Music for everyone! Recorder (blockfluit) lessons.
Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age does not matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects. I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation. I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes. I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music. I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

Janire
Horn, music theory and piano classes for beginners.
Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age doesn't matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. I like to play, sing and find the most creative solutions to learn quickly within a space reserved for the student's questions and imagination. As a musician I consider myself a very motivated person to always try new things. I also like to play from old music to contemporary music, so any style is welcome to try. During my Bachelor's training in Classical Horn I have trained in different educational skills techniques as well as in teaching ensembles and basic conducting. In addition to horn classes, I can also teach music theory and basic piano skills. I am very flexible with lesson times, so reaching a common point shouldn't be too difficult.
