The guitar lesson will allow you to have an initiation for a person who has no notion about it or who is not necessarily foreign to certain concepts related around the instrument. The work will be carried out in stages, taking into account the level of the student, the objective pursued as well as the time dedicated, all this in a structured, fun way and above all taking pleasure. It will be a question of basic elements such as the work of major/minor open chords, scales, the development of the musical ear and gradually going into the depth of certain styles such as blues, funk, jazz, bossa nova, samba, pop. , rock to dissect other elements enriching the game on the guitar. This progressive work put in place will consolidate the foundations for developing learning over time.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (…). My lessons aim to transfer the joy of music, develop musical imagination and creativity together with the gradual improvement of technic according to age and individual dispositions so that playing an instrument is a musical experience and pleasure for all. Having a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, I give my courses not as a side-activity but as my profession. I believe that effective teaching brings responsibility and requires educational background and commitment. Along with the courses, for various age groups, I follow different approaches depending on the individual needs. PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN Are you a parent and would you like your child to begin playing the piano in an early age? With 4-6 year old ones my lessons have rather a playful character. I use a piano book adapted to this age group which tells a story to kids while they are learning new songs. Listening, singing, movement and rythmic activities are also included in order to bring out the music in every young child. SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN Being capable of reading music notes with ease will help your children to learn new repertoire quicker and gives them freedom to read a song whenever they want without having to wait for their teacher. Learning notes by simply memorizing them is hovewer often discouraging, therefore in my lessons your child will learn about music notes in a fun way - intorducing to my students a story where each character presents a concrete music note helps them to read sheet music with ease. A piano book will be chosen depending on your child’s level to ensure a progressive improvement of piano skills. This is eventually supplemented with additional repertoire – usually I bring several musical pieces and the student chooses the one she/he likes the most. TEENAGERS With teenage beginners I use an accelerated piano book designated for this age group. In case of students who already have a knowledge of piano playing, I build up on what they have learnt and continue expanding their piano skills and musical creativity. The lessons are adapted to the student‘s intention to either play the piano as a hobby or to become a professional musician. I believe that playing a musical piece we like is much more effective, therefore when choosing a new repertoire I usually offer more pieces from which my students can choose, I am also open to suggestions of my students. ADULTS Do you think you are too old to start playing the piano? Its never too late to learn something new. In fact, adults have many advantages over a child learning how to play music such as larger attention, quick theory understanding and last but not least a strong desire to learn, which is not always the case with children. Do you have a favourite song you’d like to learn but it is too difficult for a beginner? Many famous melodies from classical but also popular repertoire are available in easy arrangments suitable for beginners. I also suggest a piano book designated for adult learners which helps to gradually improve their piano skills.

Hello everyone I'm Giorgos and i teach classical guitar! I the past, the guitar was considered a very royal instrument and is still considered one of the most widely used instruments to accompany with. The repertoire and possibilities are huge, and i like to structure my lessons based on what you like to listen to and to play. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. < Learning Piano is not merely about playing the piano > Before starting to learn the piano, it’s essential to recognise that : '' What we are actually learning is "Music", but not only "Piano". '' The goal of learning any instrument is to acquire the language of music, enabling us to express ourselves and enjoy music with others. Playing the piano is for creating beautiful sounds, not really for developing finger speed or strength. That’s the function of gym. < Course Content > I consider my course to be a form of "Music Consultation" because it contains a wide range of subjects which are essential to a professional musician. While we focus on piano playing, there are also music theory, music history, instrument construction, ergonomics for performers, analysis of composer styles, composition, arrangement, recording, MIDI, computer music, the physics of sound, and more. In avoid of confusion, let’s still call my course as "Piano Course”. < Duration > For each course, I will reserve at least 70 minutes in my schedule for you, including 60 minutes of class time and additional 10 minutes for discussion and any questions you may have. This will ensure that your courses are not rushed by the next student. This ensures that there is enough time for you to solve your piano and music problems. < Recording > I highly encourage my students to record their progress. This can provide an objective standard for comparison and help you analyze your playing precisely. In my nine years of experience teaching music, I've found many students, including those advanced, already play certain sections very well, while other sections may not be not well enough. But they still try to improving those fine sections, while not aware of those weak sections. Without an objective reference, it’s hard to distribute our effort precisely. This can lead to not only unstable performance, but also practicing without a precise goal can easily reduce enthusiasm. Recording your results and comparing them with those recordings you like on YouTube or Spotify can be an effective way to analyze your playing and set precise goals. If you have a digital piano, I can help you produce a video of your performance for each session. This can be a tangible record of your efforts and you can share it with your friends and family via YouTube or other platforms.
