Musical analysis techniques and tools for music composers

I'm Alfredo, I graduated from the Electric Bass Jazz and Modern Music performance course at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu and later graduated from the Master's in Jazz Performance at Codarts University of the Arts. My methodology is based on adapting the content of the class and the way of teaching it to the needs and learning process of the student. The most efficient way to learn music is through motivation and for this reason I place great emphasis on the idea of working on the music that the student listens to. No matter what genre of music we work on, any type of music can make you improve in all aspects. During the classes I try to cover the following points: - Technique and knowledge of the instrument. - Perception and rhythmic execution. - Theory applied to composition and improvisation. - Development of the melodic and harmonic ear. For students who are just starting out, I emphasize the idea of learning from the experience of playing and understanding the instrument and I let the theoretical part appear naturally once there is already a certain connection with the instrument.

Lessen ook beschikbaar in het Nederlands! In my classes I always seek to maintain a balance between the development of basic knowledge, composition techniques and creativity. These are the three fundamental pillars that any person dedicated to composition needs. Basic knowledge: Many are afraid of learning "too much" theory, because they believe that it can kill creativity. But what I precisely want to teach in my classes is a practical approach, where theoretical knowledge serves to further develop creativity. Composition techniques: Each class I give small composition tasks, things that can be developed in the time you have available between classes, where we will explore different composition techniques and how they can be applied within the musical language that you want to develop. Creativity: We work here in two ways, the first is on a project you are working on, for example a piece for your own instrument, a project for a competition or entrance exam, a song, etc. The second way is through improvisation exercises on your instrument. We will do this together, since I play violin and piano. With this we are seeing how to give space to musical intuition, to be able to capture ideas and then concretize them in a composition. These three elements are present in each class, which is usually divided into 20-minute sections, so a lesson usually lasts 1 hour.

Graduated in musical interpretation of keyboard instruments (piano, clavichord and organ) at the Tartini Conservatory of Trieste. I have a great passion for music from an early age. I have worked as a music teacher since giving private classes to students of all levels, designing a study program adapted to each person with the aim of motivating and inspiring. I have had the opportunity to study in Brussels, Italy and England where I have grown personally and professionally performing concerts in important venues such as the European Parliament and the Bosnian National Gallery of Art. Hi, I'm Emma, I'm a musician and guitar player from Paris based in Barcelona. After having studied 2 years at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam in Jazz Guitar Bachelor, I transferred myself at the Conservatori del Liceu since September 2023 to continue my studies in a Jazz performance program. I am also playing in different music projects going from contemporary Jazz, to pop, world music projects. I'm available to teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons for students with levels from beginners till intermediate level. I'm open to teach all types of music; Jazz, Pop, Rock, Indie music...
