Apollonia Maria
Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Above all i encourage my students to have fun with music! Course locations: Paris 13th and neighbouring arrondissements. Languages: French, English. I have been working as a Professional for 25 years, I have toured all over the world. I am also a composer with six albums under my name. I'll be very happy to meet with you! Musically, Rob

Damien
Conservatory student gives lessons in guitar, music theory and musical composition (all styles)
Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I have been playing guitar for many, many years now, as well as piano and flute. I have been teaching guitar, piano, flute and musical education for several years now to children, teenagers and adults. I also have a very good level in music theory, writing (jazz and classical), harmony as well as musical composition. My classes are based on listening as well as the development of the musical ear and musical creativity. I try to transmit my passion for music by making my students discover very varied horizons, from jazz to classical music, including current music and so-called traditional music. I also seek to develop autonomy in my students, an essential quality in order to flourish both musically and in everyday life. This is why I insist on the knowledge of the instrument and the development of creativity through the teaching of applied music theory and the development of the ear. My course is aimed at both beginners and people of an intermediate or advanced level who would like to improve their skills. If you are looking for a teacher who is both an educator and attentive to your personal musicality, do not hesitate to contact me.

Gabriel
Piano lessons, harmony, composition, counterpoint
I give piano and music theory lessons with my own method. The music theory part is not purely theoretical but always mixed with practice. My method emphasizes the deciphering of scores, given that the objective is to allow the student to be as independent as possible thereafter. It will also have a technical aspect, but I prefer to have her work directly with pieces rather than dry exercises. I also give lessons in harmony, counterpoint and composition for those who would like to go further.

Pierre
Alumni from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music teaches Piano/ Composition/Music Theory
Dear student, Graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Composition with Dr. David Conte, I offer musical composition lessons adapted to your level and in the style/genre that you like. The courses mix all the practices mentioned above (Piano, Analysis, Orchestration, Counterpoint and Harmony). A lifelong pianist, I obtained a Diploma in Music Studies (DEM) from the Annecy Conservatory (Fr.) in Musical Training, Film Scoring, Orchestration and Analysis, as well as a State Diploma (DE) in musical pedagogy specializing in Piano (Classical and Improvisation) and Musical Training from CeFeDEM in Lyon, France. Teaching music has therefore been a vocation for almost 10 years now, and I have been able to accompany many children and adults in their discovery and/or deepening of this practice. As a award-winning composer, my experience of the professional world can help build you career plan as well as managing your time efficiently. Currently living in Paris, Fr, I dispense in-person classes or online classes through Zoom (outside of France). In addition, courses can be given in French or English depending on your preferences. If you would like more information, do not hesitate to contact me. Wishing you a happy new school year, Pierre

Music theory, music, piano and / or singing lessons
Passionate about music offers an initiation or a deepening in music (music theory, piano or singing). My goal is to be as attentive as possible to your expectations and I will be quite capable of adapting. Practicing the piano since the age of 6, I acquired a very good level of music theory and subsequently found fun methods for this learning which may seem boring but which remains necessary. The goal is to help with motivation and confidence! . Learning music theory can be for all instruments. Indeed, I know the three types of keys (G, F, and C) depending on the instrument. I am also a member of a musical comedy troupe with which we put on 8 shows with live music. So I also have a great experience in singing and piano in front of an audience. I also passed the Music option of the baccalaureate and could therefore also teach you the techniques of comparative listening or instruct you on a work or a genre of music that interests you. Feel free to contact me for more information !
