Turkish woodwind flute (Ney) lessons for beginners

Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (…). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points: -Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear - Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords - Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand - Learning of different pieces of your choice - Left hand control exercises, speed and precision - Learning arpeggios - Work around muscle memory - Learning improvisation, musical play with others - Ear training: use your ears to find chords, melodies, sounds and techniques used -Spend a pleasant moment of exchange, without unnecessary institutional pressure, while obtaining concrete results -Understand and discover the many facets of an exciting and user-friendly instrument - Benefit from personalized advice on your posture and certain pitfalls to avoid when starting alone -Adjust and clarify your self-taught knowledge - Learn tablatures / tabs & in English. Note : - Possibility to use the guitar available on site, during the test phase. - As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy. - Possibility of offering this course (birthday, party, Christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice. Hello! Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory… or all the above listed! Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subject still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building these basic knowledge can be easy, accessible and not heavy at all! My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, wether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, getting better at pitch matching… we will discuss together. I have many books and material, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you will want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain, is for the time of the class.

Thanks to my experience as a teacher in a professional center such as the Santander Professional Conservatory of Music, where I have had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, since I have been lucky enough to work with numerous teachers who have given me different points of view to face the development of the interpretive technique of the transverse flute, I have extensive experience and numerous tools to help solve the difficulties of the students when playing. I currently combine my acting career with my second master's degree in acting at the Barcelona Conservatory of Music with Professor Vicens Prats. I have extensive experience as a teacher at the Santander Professional Music Conservatory "Ataulfo Argenta". As a performer, I have the opportunity to collaborate with numerous orchestras, such as the Basque Country Orchestra (OSE) or the Valles Symphony Orchestra (OSV). These experiences and many others allow me to face the classes from a professional point of view while, by continuing to be a student, I can understand more closely the difficulties that students may encounter when playing the transverse flute.

I really enjoy teaching and performing, and I have previous experience as a flute teacher back in Ukraine, Poland and China, so I would like to have some new online students here. In this class you will learn the basics of the Flute and how to make a beautiful sound on the Flute eventually turning into wonderful music. If you are already a player of the flute, you will learn how to improve your tone quality, reading music ability and finger dexterity. If there's anything else you'd like to learn that I haven't listed here, let me know and we can have a chat about it.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

I am a professional singer, pianist and recording artist. I graduated from Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda with a Bachelors of Music, specifically voice. Voice students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression. As a professional recording artist I am working on the Spanish versión of a children's music project from Portugal. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, dynamic musicians. My personal passion is jazz music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style.
