Hello! I am Laura and I have a master's diploma in cello. One of my personal breakthroughs has been to build concentration through music, and I wonder if I can help you achieve the same through cello playing. Throughout my teaching experience, I have had both kids and adult beginners, cello as a second instrument, and already started teenagers who wanted to improve further their skills. In terms of my studies, this is my story: On the excitement of exploring music and cello, I've traveled and studied in various countries like the UK (one year and a half of my Bachelor's), the Netherlands (master in music), and France, where I currently receive lessons.

I am a professional viola player from Estonia, currently living in Antwerpen. I have studied in multiple conservatories in Europe and have been a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy working with children and I have experience teaching toddlers violin from the age of 3. Of course at that age it's more about the discovery of the sound and rhythm in our bodies in general 😊 I have also taught adults and I must say that some of my best conversations and connections have been made through teaching music to grown ups who want to learn something for themselves. My teaching studio has hosted a private studio in Oslo, New York, Connecticut and now Antwerp. While living in New York I was the viola and violin professor at Pluckd Studio where I helped prepare students for music festivals, auditions and to establish a sound foundational approach to instrumental playing. While a student at Juilliard, I coached students in Juilliard’s Pre-College/MAP program and helped lead children’s concerts in Chicago, Austin, New York and Oslo. I start playing violin when I was 5 years-old, and since then I never stoped. I thank my first teachers for passing me the entusiasm, passion and love for playing violin when I was a child. So... I would love to pass the same feeling to my students, to have fun while playing violin and learning new music! I adapt to the needs of every student, and from the first lesson together we define what are our goals and how we can reach them. If possible I would also like to do group lessons (with all the students), because I find it really important to do music together and share experiences.
