I have facilitated workshops and given classes throughout my career all over the world. English pronunciation is essential these days because English is spoken everywhere and all the time. I followed specialized training such as the verb tonal method, Feldenkrais or mental coaching. We are therefore going to work in a slightly different way by combining articulatory techniques, movement, rhythm, intonation, warming up of the jaw and tongue, stretching of the neck, neck and shoulders to arrive to very fast results.

I am a British native english speaker working in Brussels, looking to help anyone who wants to improve either their spoken or written english in a professional or social context. My goal is to be flexible and focus on exactly what you want to improve, having some experience in privately tutoring English to French and Dutch children before. I have a B2/C1 level certificate in French so if needed the class can be taught in French.

As you acquire a new skill or enhance the proficiency of a new language skill, you will be guided in grammar, vocabulary, conversations, dictions and oral articulations to aide you in communicating better with other English speakers worldwide...conversational dates, outdoor excursions & day-day routine exercise can be requested. I've been teaching English to small children up to teenagers at École Française Internationale. I give lessons for beginners and intermediate levels. I mix between French and English so the pupil doesn't get too confused, but also allows them to understand every detail. For beginners, we usually talk about our surroundings, what's close to us and what affects us on a daily basis. (Numbers, directions, the weather, asking simple questions, what's a noun and pronoun and where to put them in a sentence). I like to find playful activities so that the pupil/student is in control of their work. It also stimulates their motivation. Of course, this is an example for a certain age group, but it also varies depending on their knowledge and their age. For intermediates, we make basic conversation. Ex: How do you go to school; What do you do in your free time? ; What's the weather like? The lessons depend on whether the student is learning for their personal knowledge or if it's for school. -------------------------------- The start of the course with a new learner consists of detecting their level by talking about their background, what they already know, what they must master in order to no longer have any gaps. The first lesson also allows the learner to get comfortable and get to know me to establish mutual trust. That’s why I use a touch of my British humor to achieve this. (I generally do this at the start of the lesson with my students to establish a good mood and they are always delighted!) To help the learner better engage with the learning, I will ask them what their passions/hobbies are, this who interests him to arouse interest in learning. I will adapt my lessons on subjects that speak to him more. Depending on age and level of knowledge of English, the method will vary. I play with songs if it's for vocabulary or accent, it helps me memorize better and what's better in song... Everyone listens to music! No matter the reason for the course, if it is to improve oral, written, reading or listening comprehension, I organize audio sessions, readings, everything necessary to deepen the language using the active pedagogy that I learned during my CAP training. I can play the news from the BBC news channel, the weather forecast, the trailer for a film. My goal is for the learner to evolve gradually with as few gaps as possible.

In these English and French courses you will learn to master the language in a more practical way. The emphasis is on how to speak the language well and hold a conversation with a native speaker. You will also learn to write well.

Dutch is a Western Germanic language, descending from Low German dialects like Dutch. This course is intended to help the student of French secondary education. The level and the material is therefore adapted and equivalent to this level. I aim is to help the student improve his language skills in Dutch: additional explanation (grammar, sentence construction), support for homework and questions. This course is also intended for those who wish to learn this language for personal and / or professional reasons.

As a bachelor's student in the faculty of bioengineering at the Catholic University of Louvain, scientific disciplines are also part of my daily life. I teach chemistry, physics and biology to students up to secondary sixth grade. (My science classes are taught in French!).

In Belgium, Dutch is a necessity, from primary school to professional life. Whether it is to succeed in a Dutch course at primary, secondary, university or high school, or to land a job or communicate more easily with your colleagues, I have the course you need ! With a mixture of theory (grammar, vocabulary) and various exercises, I adapt to your needs and desires. Do you work in a particular field that requires specific vocabulary? I gradually include it in the lessons so that learning the language is as useful as possible to you.
