I'm half French, half Chinese. I'm 35 years old, married and have a 4 and half daughter. We speak mostly English at home. I currently have 4 students between the ages of 9 - 40. English isn’t my mother tongue, but I felt in love with the language when I discovered series, films and interviews, and I would like to share that passion with to children I will take care of (it doesn’t mean I will let them watch a lot of videos without any content.) But I think learning with subtitles is very entertaining and useful, that is how I went to A2 level in English, to C1 level of my university. Based on the classes of your children, or the website for documentation NPR, I will offer to help the better I can, to learn some basics, the oral approach, the written comprehension, to learn each day a few more useful words. On all the courses I gave over the last 4 years I was able to refine my working method as and when. First of all, I have a discussion with the student but also with his parents about what pushed them to take private lessons to better target the gaps but also and especially to understand the method of the student's work, how he manages his time and his priorities. Having been a student with great difficulties on the last 3 points that I mentioned, I am able to give adequate advice for my students to succeed in their schooling at best. The school where I'm studying I make a point of honor on the regularity. Indeed, I prefer to offer weekly help see bi-weekly short, rather than long sessions, it benefits much more for both the student and the teacher. The different training courses that I did at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (an institution considered as a "big school" mainly focused on teaching) allowed me to considerably improve my teaching methods and my patience.
