Depending on what you need, we can look more closely at Meditation or at Yin Yoga, or a combination of both. Yin yoga is a wonderful practice to support your meditation; to touch in or reconnect with your body or to balance more active practices that focus on building and toning muscles. This practice can support a stiff, achy or even injured body but is also great as a counter practice to more intense sports such as running or martial arts where muscles often tend to shorten and become stockier. Especially people who experience frequent back pain or stiffness in the neck, back and joints can benefit tremendously from a Yin yoga approach. In these meditation classes we will take a close look at the workings of our minds by anchoring to the breath and our body. From this landing place, where we can always return, meditation can be an ongoing exploration of the many layers and depths of our experience. Yoga crossed my life multiple times but caught my attention at a time I needed a rebirth and a big life change. I went from depressed, burnt out, lost, traumatized, emotionally completely blocked to now feeling strong emotions, having more awareness of mind, body and spirit, let go of heavy baggage, loving myself, my body and my life. It has been a great support in many life challenges and let me to come closer to what living life means. Yoga is a journey not a destination and I'm amazed by the endless process and progress. I decided to share this experience, and be of service to you, so that you can have your personal journey to yourself. In this class we will go through different spiritual practices such as 'Asana' (exercises), 'Pranayama' (breathwork), meditation and mantra chanting.
