This class offers an ethnographic journey of practises and cultures in rural Jamaica, illustrated through photos, songs and videos. Let's explore life in rural Jamaica! Born and raised in a remote rural district/village, I will take you on an authentic journey of first hand experiences- reliving fond childhood memories, the stories my grandmother told me and what a typical day is like. This will be grounded in the history and culture of Jamaica. Coming from a background in diplomacy, sharing about Jamaica's culture and historical experiences has always been essential for opening the door to a deeper unerstanding. I have an avid interest in other cultures and always take the time to explore wherever I go. Having been to South and Central America, Asia, North America and Europe, I know the unique value of such rich experiences. Whenever I was home-sick while posted abroad, talking about my homeland was the only cure. I will share with you all there is about living in rural Jamaica, from different perspectives of my childhood, teenage years and adult life. One unique bit is that the district's enduring small farms form the centrepiece around which everything revolves. Some students have accumulated shortcomings inherited from previous years; how can we provide them with effective help? A) The catch-up prerequisite: -Copy your lessons poorly transcribed since the beginning of the year. -Integrate the review sheets from the previous year into this year's lessons. -Enrich your course notes through documentary research. - Get a clear and concise idea of the economic history of Europe and the world over the last two centuries. You must also; -Know the main lines of economic thought of the last two centuries (liberalism, utilitarianism, Marxism etc.…). -Master the fundamental notions of economic and political sciences: Public / private, Individual / group, rational / emotional etc.… - Feel at your ease in algebra and know how to read all types of functions. B) The dissertation and the synthesis of documents. To succeed in the essay exercise, it is imperative to know how to carry out the "document synthesis" to its end. The "document synthesis" exercise requires mastery of the following methods: -Methodology of the comparative study of scientific texts, essays, specialized writings, newspaper articles etc.… -Methods of reading and interpreting statistical data (tables, wafers, diagrams, etc.) and graphs of functions. -Iconology (knowing how to interpret an image). -Understand the challenges of micro and macroeconomics in modern nation states. Olen õppinud koolis ja ülikoolide keeltekursustel eesti, inglise, prantsuse, vene, jaapani ja itaalia keelt. Lisaks on mul kodus keeleõpikuid nii saksa, rootsi, soome, norra, poola, hispaania kui ka portugali keeles. Olen õppinud ka bel canto laulmist ja muusikainstrumente ning õpetan ka soovi korral laulmist, noodilugemist, saateharmooniat, klaverit ja plokkflööti. Eelkooli programm hõlmab endas suulist keelt läbi lastekirjanduse, mängude ja laulude ning värvilehtede. Enamik Tallinna lapsi alustab esimese võõrkeele õpinguid 3. klassis. Great start to lessons: my learning needs are not clearly defined and linear but Monalee was able to guide and improvise through clever listening at each moment of the lesson. Clear material had been prepared but as this was our first session together the flexibility mentioned above was all important.
