I specialize in tutoring math and English for school, SAT, GRE, GMAT exams and have an experience of a little over 3 years. My goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed and try to tailor the lessons according to each student. I assign homework after each lesson and conduct mock tests occasionally. I have also co-authored a math book JARVIS for ZIMSEC (Zimbabwe secondary education)

With more than 10 years of experience, I love transmitting the beauty of the Greek language and culture. During the class we talked about both Greek culture and current life in Greece, anecdotes, everything that can be experienced living in Greece today. From its organization, from its cuisine, from all the traditions that remain alive over the years.

I give my classes based on each student's needs. Whether you want to focus on written professional English/Greek or simply conversational English/Greek, I will adapt to what fits you most. We will focus on grammar, spelling, reading, as well as pronunciation skills, and have conversations around your preferable choice of topics. Last but not least, apart from using the traditional teaching methods I am extremely keen on using the experiential learning method, which makes my classes both interesting and fun. Associate professor of Grammar (= Classical letters with an ancient linguistic emphasis), doctor in Comparative Literature (Paris IV-Sorbonne), gives courses for aggregators (internal or external competition), on the Greek part of the program: -Homer, Iliad, IX-X -Euripides, Medea -Lysias, Discourse, “On the sacred olive tree” The other parts of the program and the Latin program can also be covered, depending on demand. Help with reading, establishment of a juxtaparagraph, explanation of grammatical difficulties, help with literary commentary.

I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics. During our lessons, I'll help you develop your skills (oral/written, and not only). I'll also try to help you improve your pronunciation and spelling. I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary. I worked at a language center between 2009-2016 where I was a director of studies and taught mainly English as a foreign/second language. Since 2005, when I first started teaching Greek, I have taught children and adults on a variety of language proficiency levels, mainly individually. I constantly seek progress, meaning that I study further through reading books/articles concerning didactics/methodology and learning difficulties (chiefly dyslexia), observing other teachers as well as attending seminars (online or face-to-face). During my lessons I use : - Skype/Whatsapp/Messenger to connect with you, - Google Docs to keep notes, which you can check at any time and they are yours to keep, - sketch board me to make mind maps to show connections between ideas, etc. - books, PPP, word docs, diagrams, pics, etc. - pronunciation/spelling/grammar games, - authentic materials were taken from websites. I adore my profession and desire each and every one of my students be satisfied with the lesson. That's why I make sure the atmosphere is stress-free and nice. I also want my lessons to be as effective and close to real-life needs as possible. Therefore, I make sure they are well-prepared, although they can be altered at any point, should such an opportunity arise. I like explaining things in a variety of ways as well as make use of dictionaries, diagrams, etc. When it comes to students who want to obtain certificates, I am very demanding. I can teach you mathematics, both at the basic and advanced levels. I can also help prepare you for the GRE test. Mathematics is all about practice and having good teachers, so if you have both, it should not be a problem for you. I have always excelled in math, and I genuinely enjoy it. I would like to use my skills to help others. I can solve various types of problems and assist you in gaining a better understanding of them. Math primarily involves practice, but with the guidance of good teachers, like the ones I had, you can save a lot of time in the process.

Hello to all ! After studying French language and literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which is my hometown, I started giving private FLE lessons, mainly to adults.
