Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There are no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. Music has always brought me amazing opportunities to connect to inspiring people throughout my life. I personally love many different types of music from around the world but my favourite styles to play are Jazz/Soul and Latin music. I have been singing since I can remember and understood the importance of playing instruments from a very young age. I feel fortunate to have been able to work on my musical skills through leading and playing in many different bands, performing in bars and different events and recording with some pretty cool people. Personally, I think it helps to learn and practice songs that you like because it motivates and speeds up the learning process. I am happy to suggest some songs that would suit your style as we go. I'm very flexible when it comes to the lesson. I like to personalize them to your goals and needs, from which I create specific exercises for listening, rhythm, technique and music theory (which can seem unapproachable at first) I have seen my students grow through ups and downs through putting in time. Key is showing up to the lessons, from there you are already growing. I strongly believe music is a universal language that can be learned and enjoyed by everyone, as long as they put their mind to it. I'd be more than happy to guide you through some of your musical journey and have you be part of mine too.

I specialise in teaching rap skills and lyric writing. If you enjoy rap music and would like to learn how to improve your technique then I am here to help you! I have many years of experience teaching, performing and recording my own music. I sing, rap, write lyrics and perform with a band. I can cover different styles including Hip Hop and Grime. We will also cover lyric writing where I can help you with your flows and technique to create your own original material. There is an option to get custom made beats to help you create your own original tracks. I really enjoy teaching and like to make the lessons challenging and fun.

As a classically trained opera singer, I offer voice and piano/keyboard instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, and I believe that everyone has the ability to find their inner musician. Most importantly, I hope to inspire a genuine passion for music in each of my voice and piano students. Biography: Born and raised in North Carolina, Kennedy is a classically trained mezzo soprano. She teaches and performs across a wide range of genres, including classical, musical theatre, gospel, and pop. She found her passion for singing and performing at the age of 5 when she began to sing in church, and her love for the performing arts led her to participate in choir and musical theatre throughout school. She has performed roles such as Annie in Annie Get Your Gun and Cat in the Hat in Seussical. Kennedy began piano lessons at age 15 and classical vocal training at age of 17. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UNC Chapel Hill, where she dove into classical vocal training and performed operatic roles such as the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas and Madame de la Haltière in Cendrillon. It was at UNC that Kennedy fell in love with performing opera and found that classical vocal training also improved her musical theatre and pop repertoire. After studying abroad in London and Florence during her time at UNC, Kennedy decided to return to London to pursue a master’s degree. She graduated in 2020 with a Master of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, where she was awarded the Kathleen Roberts Vocal Scholarship. During her time in London, she performed in venues such as The Queen’s House and Blackheath Halls, and sang various operatic roles such as The Third Lady in The Magic Flute, Gertrude in Louise, Ljubica in the contemporary chamber opera Svadba, and as Cenerentola in Cenerentola. She also gained training and experience singing in a wide range of languages, including Italian, French, German, Spanish, and Serbian. In addition to performing, Kennedy has an equal love for teaching and has taught voice and piano for over six years to students across London, North Carolina, and Spain. She currently resides in Madrid, Spain where she works as a music and English teacher.

I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My mum is a piano teacher, I was in this sphere for all my life. As I was teaching, I had international students from Germany and Italy. It makes me experienced in English language teaching. She has explored educational psychology, as well as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, visualization and different teaching schools. Having studied 2nd-study piano at her music college as a compulsory requirement, she is able to guide children to take ABRSM graded piano music exams too. The students’ happiness, acquisition of new knowledge and musical improvement are the most important things to her.
