Graduated in France for a classical training, I offer courses of flutes (from piccolo to octobasse via bass and viola!). The content of the courses will be adapted to the needs of each one. I practice improvisation for quite a few years, the Brazilian music (choro) is one of my specialties. I also play in the French Flutes Orchestra, and I share with pleasure my practices and sound research such as multiphonic, flute and voice, circular breathing, whistle tones and other flatterzung! I hold a PhD degree in music performance at Cardiff University, School of Music. From 2013 till 2015, I have been teaching at the Venice Conservatory "B. Marcello", giving yearly lectures and seminaries on the historical repertoire for the flute. Since 2021, I have been appointed music curator of Coudenberg Sound Box Fest, a music festival which aims at celebrating the Belgian music heritage and takes place every year at the beautiful archeological site of the former Royal Palace of Brussels. I recorded for Warner Classics & Erato, and a soloist for Arcana/Outhere Music ('La solitude à deux. Solos and duets by G. P. Telemann' in 2018 and 'Affect is no Crime. New music for old instruments' in 2019). The trumpet is a wonderful instrument. I therefore propose to initiate those who would be interested as well as to help people who are already familiar with this instrument. I've been playing this instrument for 14 years, 10 of which in a conservatory, and I never got tired of it. My way of teaching is mainly based on the management of one's breath and the development of one's musical ear, with breathing exercises, listening, technique etc. Thus, my method is just as suitable for young children who want to learn this instrument, as for older people.
