DennyFull-time and Professional IB Math (AA/AI, HL/SL) Tutor
Hi, my name is Denny. I am a full-time math tutor and I focus on teaching IB Maths. I have in-depth understandings of all the topics in IB math syllabus and exams. I have collected and analyzed all the IB maths past papers in the past 10 years, therefore, I can precisely help my students revise all the topics that definitely will be tested in their chapter tests and IB final exams. I have developed efficient teaching methods to help maximize students’ efforts and achieve their academic goals. I will teach my students effective learning skills so that they grasp key concepts much faster and I will teach them useful problem-solving techniques so that they can solve IB exam questions much easier. I have successfully helped hundreds of students improve grades and get accepted into their dream universities. Education: Ph.D. Experience: 10+years, 500+students tutored, 10,000+tutoring hours Proven results: average grade increase being 2+ (IB grading scale) My productive teaching methodology and strategy are built on thousands of hours of online tutoring experience and proven results of improvements from hundreds of students. I am proud of my services which are highly recognized and recommended by my students and their parents. || Some of recent recommendations: || ---------- *Feeling greatly underprepared as I began my Mathematics Analysis & Approaches HL IA, I scoured the web for a tutor that could help me perfect my approach for the daunting task. I was lucky enough to find Denny, who seemed approachable and helpful from our very first email exchange.* I take great pleasure recommending Denny, who teaches you not only the Mathematical theory but the way in which to approach questions logically, irrespective of their apparent difficulty at first glance. Such cannot be gained from simple textbooks or past paper practice and is a valuable asset for mocks and final exams.* Despite our great time zone difference, Denny was always helpful and able to accommodate my schedule when I was very busy. With the help of a simple electronic writing tablet, our lessons were carried out on an online electronic software, which enabled ease of communication and understanding during our lessons.* I could always count on Denny to provide me with additional resources and was pleased to see that he would take time after our lessons to help me with additional questions that I would pose him when in doubt.* Denny is undoubtedly one of the most professional tutors for IB Mathematics and has knowledge far beyond the course which allows him to explain all concepts with ease and clarity. ---------------------------IB Math HL, UAE ---------------------- *It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Denny hen who has been my tutor during my senior year.* When I started the IB diploma program I picked the Maths course (AI SL) but I was still struggling during tests and had a lack of confidence regarding my skills. Throughout the year Denny and I deeply reviewed each topic of the syllabus to strengthen my understanding of several concepts. Denny used a variety of IB past papers which I particularly enjoyed working with. Moreover, we worked on a software that was very convenient and easy to manipulate allowing smooth communication even though we lived in different countries. Before my lessons with Denny, I was getting constant 3s and 4s at school and was having issues with the way my teacher taught me the syllabus. When working with Denny, he would not only teach me the Mathematical concepts but he would also show me the way in which to approach each question. I am extremely grateful to have had such a delicate and skillful tutor who enabled me to reach a score of 6 at my final exams in May 2021. I would have never done so well without him. --------------------- IB Math SL, Japan ---------------------- *Over the past two years Denny has worked with me not only to improve my mathematical skills but also my confidence. We began with doing some simple example questions so that he could help me properly understand the mathematical theory and concept. Then Denny would advise and demonstrate different methods to solve the problem to present a mathematical perspective that was different to that of my school teacher. This would really help me understand how to work around a question and not to get stuck at the beginning. The practice boosted my confidence immensely, as Denny helped me understand that there is normally never only one way to solve a problem, and even if I think the question is very hard, there is always a simpler way to view it.* As a result, when it was time to practice IB past paper questions, working through the questions with Denny not only became easier, but also enjoyable! In addition, I saw a very big improvement in my grades. Before stating tutoring lessons with Denny, I was only just passing the course with a 4, but by the start of the next school year I was getting 6s and 7s!* I would highly recommend Denny’s tutoring lessons to any students who feels they need even just a little bit more help or practice outside of the regular classroom where they can receive a different mathematical perspective from their school teachers. He is not only a great and highly experienced math teacher, but also a very patient person as a whole. ----------------------------------IB Math HL, Netherlands---------------------------------------- *After being tutored by Denny, I can say that I am extremely grateful for his help these last two years in the IB. Although I sometimes struggled to understand certain concepts, I could tell that his comfort with topics such as vectors, trig, and calculus helped transfer that knowledge and confidence to me over time. Denny’s use of past papers as a source of conceptual understanding is another aspect of his teaching that I thought was incredibly important. Since students such as myself at times feel confident with the concepts at first, past papers serve as tools that can really provide students with an accurate representation of their preparedness. I also think that his patience when allowing me to approach a problem is stellar as well. He would never give me the answer straight away, but more so led me through the problem and the concepts needed to solve it (this was very obvious to me during calculus, one of the topics that I struggled with the most).* Although IB exams were cancelled this year, Denny helped me end the year on a high note with a 5 in trimester 2 and a 7 in trimester 3 as the overall grades. Denny also gave me the help and tips necessary to achieve a 6 in my Math HL IA.* Overall, with Denny’s tutoring, I have reached new levels of math confidence. Denny is a great teacher and delightful person as a whole. ---------------------- IB Math HL, Spain------------------------------------------------ *I want to really thank you for the help and knowledge you have offered me. Your approach to IB Maths was efficient and effectual. I was able to discern the different question types in each chapter and sharpen my mathematical skills. Prior to tutoring with you, I was attaining an average score of low 6 in maths. Once you began teaching me, my score improved to a 7 average. Not only did this enabled me to achieve the academic honor award at school, but it also opened up the opportunity for me to study Chemical Engineering at UC Berkeley. --------------------- IB Math HL, Thailand-------------------------------------------- *I got a 6 in Math HL and 40 points overall. Thank you so much for all your help and support throughout your lessons! I know that even though I wasn’t able to do the exam, your helpful insights and math tricks will continue to help me excel in my future studies, especially in engineering. Your advice really helped me reinforce what was covered in class to the extent that I have no hesitation in solving IB problems.* I will be attending Cornell University for the next four years and I am really happy to say that you helped make that happen! -------------------------------- IB Math HL, Iceland---------------------------------------------- *Recommended by my friend, I have been taking tutoring lessons with Denny for s Ever since I’ve taken the lessons, I made a major improvement – from scoring a C on my finals in my junior year to A* on every test and a 6 on my IB final exam. I was nearly able to get a 7 on my IB final exam, with only a tiny margin below the grade boundary. Denny was extremely helpful and responsible along the way. He would spend extra time answering my homework questions and make his own revision sheets to help me grow. Not only he patiently writes down standard procedures during our private lessons to build up my logical thinking skills, but also go over tests that I did at school to eliminate my weakness. Besides, the effectively used technology- a software which allowed us to write on the same screen across counties – to facilitate my learning process. I would say, without his help I could never get such a high score on my IB Finals. -------------------------------- IB Math HL, Netherlands---------------------------------------- *I am confident that enlisting the tutoring aid was one of the best decisions I made throughout the IB, and it was that which enabled me to receive a strong 7 from the IB final exams. With the aid of an iPad and a working internet connection, I was able to schedule meetings with Denny conveniently at any time and any place (even when travelling on holidays). For a student like me with a hectic schedule was crucial. His style is very structured, categorizing the syllabus into different sections which simplified it for me significantly and made it less overwhelming. Most importantly, as a student who constantly doubted her math abilities, the reassuring words and confidence I got from him was added boost that really needed when taking the exams. With his guidance and assistance, I found the preparations for IB final exams extremely enjoyable and stress-free. Additionally, I got eh confidence I needed to apply for a mathematics degree in a top university and entered successfully. ---------------------------------- IB Math HL, Finland--------------------------------------------- Denny helped me with option calculus, it was effective and methodological. He effectively covered the whole syllabus in just a few lessons and help me go from a 3 to a 6. ---------------------------------- IB Math HL, Sweden----------------------------- With his help, I have tasted the fulfilment of solving difficult questions which have strengthened my confidence in math. From a 3 in DP1 to a 5 in the IB final exam, I would attribute most of my improvement on them, Without, I would probably fail the test and would never think about pursuing a career in econometrics. ---------------------------------- IB Math HL, Netherlands--------------------------- Hi Denny, I forgot to tell you a few days ago, but I got a 7 for math. Thank you for all your help this past year!:) ---------------------------------- IB Math HL, China------------------------------ Just letting you know we received Alec's final grade - his grade went from 3 to 5 in math. I can't thank you enough for your tutoring of Alec. Actually 4 out of his 6 classes went up in marks and I feel it is partially due to his increased confidence in math. I have passed your details on to another family. ---------------------------------- IB Math SL, Netherlands----------------------------- I have finished math with a 6 which I am very happy about. You have played such a big role so thank you so much for all your help and dedication!! I really appreciate it. ---------------------------------- IB Math SL, Italy---------------------------------

Dr. Pradeepikaprofessional teacher as private tutor: PYP/ MYP - Science (Improve Grad)
My name is Dr. Pradeepika, Gold medalist and with 6+ years of experience as an assistant professor, faculty development training and school teaching/helping experience to students of various age groups. These years of experience in school support have allowed me to develop a methodology adapted to the needs and profile of the student. I offer support to students, who are struggling to find a way of working that suits them. Extrovert, bubbly, and above all, a lot of humor! I believe that everyone learns in his own way. This is why I do not have a rigid method but adapt to the contrary to the specificities of each student. I evaluate their level, strengths, possible weaknesses, or delays, and I develop my course accordingly. My priority: to restore the student's confidence: things are within everyone's reach when they are well explained! Active teaching methods: I try to involve the student as much as possible, to make him discover what works for him/her so that he can continue his career independently. Finally, I bring specific help when preparing questions or exams in a more difficult subject. My rate includes full tuition (private lessons, the ability to ask questions outside of class time, writing and correcting questions, etc.). The students learn best when they are in a positive and happy environment. By using the methods, I can develop a classroom that is supportive with fun. It is important for students to feel happy and comfortable with me so that they can develop the confidence to speak up and put forward their ideas. I believe every student needs to be challenged regardless of their ability. The more confidence students have, the better their chance is of succeeding.😇 Looking forward to reading from you!.

RezaTutor for Math, Physics, and Mechanical/Material Engineering courses
I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doc researcher in aerospace Engineering faculty of TU Delft. I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, and advanced engineering mathematics), Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, etc), Physics (mechanics, electricity, light, waves, etc), CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, ABAQUS, MATLAB, LS-DYNA). Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning. If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)

HassanOrganic, Inorganic and Physical CHEMISTRY for secondary, senior secondary IB , IGCSE , ICSE and all other boards. ( SL as well as HL )
When it comes to science, chemistry is the subject that becomes a bridge in understanding and solving the mystery at the molecular level. People generally ignore this subject due to it's wierd theory. Well not more now. I have studied and designed my techniques in such a way that you are going to love this subject. The randomness in your mind, entropy though, I understand it is high. But I will bring that randomness to a stable level , intermix the theoretical concepts with the real world in such a way that you will enjoy that hybridized state. I will help you get your concepts cleared. And more often, I will make you fall in love with this subject. Following are the topics we will be dealing with :- 1. Mole concepts. 2. Problems based upon stoichiometry ( Limiting reagent , POAC , Law of equivalence ) 3. Atomic structure 4. Periodic Classification of elements 5. Concept of Chemical bonding and its type. 6. Gaseous state 7. Thermodynamics 8. Thermochemistry 9. Chemical equilibrium 10. Ionic equilibrium 11. Concept of acid, base and salt. 12. Metals and non-metals. 13. Redox reaction and balancing 14. AdriaanExperienced homework supervisor has room again! Tutoring in all science subjects, e.g. Mathematics in Amstelveen or Amsterdam
My way of teaching is based on the idea that by practicing a lot, and finding answers more and more on your own, you build self-confidence. If you believe you can do it, a profession might even become fun. Usually we start with an explanation of the material, and together we look at which part you already understand and which part you don't yet. Then we will practice very hard with sums. In the beginning I usually do a number of sums, then we try to make sure that you can do them yourself as much as possible. I also help you better understand the way school questions are asked. I'm not afraid to go "back to basics" and work with you on backlogs in your base. Many disadvantages are caused by long-term poor education, especially in subjects such as mathematics. For example, it is assumed that you understand fractions very well, while no one has ever explained them well to you! I often meet students, even students entering their final exams, who still have problems with this.
