I am a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teacher of physics, maths and economics. I have a PhD in Physics from the University of Glasgow, where I studied the sub-atomic and quantum effects of interactions between high intensity laser beams and aromatic molecules. I also have an M.Sci. degree in Physics from the University of Glasgow and an M.Sc. in Economic Management and Policy from the University of Strathclyde. I am also a UK qualified teacher with a PGCE from Nottingham University. Since qualifying as a secondary school teacher in 2014 I have taught at some of Europe’s most prestigious schools. Most of my current work involves teaching highly personalised lessons to students wishing to improve or excel at the IB, A Level or GCSE exams. I have also helped physics undergraduate students to improve both their theoretical knowledge and their experimental skills. Before becoming a full-time tutor I worked as a research scientist and, later, as a medical physicist. So I bring not only a strong passion for science and maths into my lessons but a practical, real-world context for the subjects. I help students achieve the highest possible grades by tackling their areas of difficulty and building their confidence. My aim is to ensure students understand the fundamental concepts in order to build knowledge and apply this in exams. My educational background: 1999-2002 Ph.D. Physics, University of Glasgow 1994-1998 M.Sci. Physics, University of Glasgow 2013-2014 PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), Nottingham University 2009-2012 M.Sc. Economic Management and Policy (distance learning), University of Strathclyde

Trusted teacher: Hello everyone, I am an Economist by profession and a Coach by vocation. Since my university days I have taught economics classes (microeconomics and macroeconomics); corporate finance (including financial mathematics) and mathematics in general (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry or Arithmetic) at all levels for schoolchildren and university students. At present I am living in Madrid and in the current situation I enjoy offering distance classes. How do I teach my classes? Experience has taught me that there are more ways to learn than just memorizing and telling you what to do. Through examples of real situations I can help you understand the main concepts using a lot of common sense. And if math is difficult for you ... I can help you with that without making it overwhelming to get the results you need. We go at your pace and I adapt to your style. Goodbye to the traditional teaching model. We can use video calls to explain you through physical or virtual whiteboards; I have exams at your disposal for the topics you need to practice. Do you still have doubts and mistrust about hiring online classes? It is normal. But I tell you one thing ... it is very important for me to take care of my clients and give them a good service. Do you know how important a recommendation is to me? It is my main motivation to continue doing what I like so much. To teach!!! Finally, we can use the application that is easier for you to contact us: Teams, Zoom, Hangout, etc. Don't hesitate and let's talk. You want to learn and I want to teach. It's a perfect match :) A hug.

Oliver
We are just getting started, but our experiences with Oliver have been great so far. He is prompt to communicate, professional and very patient. He does a good job of understanding where my daughter is, helping her at her level, and not making her feel bad that she is having a tough time with Math. Highly recommend!
