Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Kaspar. I am a professional accordion & bandoneon player from Estonia and currently based in Brussels, Belgium. I'm holding a bachelor degree in jazz music (accordion, keyboards) from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and master degree (bandoneon) in World Music / Argentine Tango from Codarts / Hogeschool voor de kunsten (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). During my prior studies, I have found, that I would like to specialize in Argentinian tango/folklore and combine my previous knowledge and skills in jazz and world music as an interpreter and composer. I have been teaching accordion, bandoneon, jazz piano, and music theory for the last 9 years and I have experience with students of different ages and levels. I'm offering accordion and bandoneon lessons for all ages and levels. Topics: - Technical aspects (scales, modes, exercises, patterns, timing and tone control) - Improvisation and phrasing in different styles - jazz, tango (traditional and tango nuevo), Argentine folklore and classical music and how to adapt them on accordion/bandoneon - Music theory - How to make the accompaniment and to build chords More information about me: For the last 6 years, I have been a composer and a leader in a band called Abraham’s Café. The group has given more than 150 concerts around Estonia and abroad at different jazz clubs and festivals. We have recorded 2 albums – “Journey to Haran” (2013) and “Berber Cinema” (2015). The music of the last album “Berber Cinema” was mainly composed for the Estonian-Palestinian documentary film “Rough Stage”, for which they also toured in Palestine in autumn 2015. For the last five years, I have involved bandoneon into my performances and played Argentinian music in duos with guitarist Martin Lopez Muro (ARG); accordionist Jaak Lutsoja (EST); Martin-Eero Kõressaar (EST); Isabel Bermejo (ESP), Trio Maag (EST) and bigger ensembles - Gran Orquesta Típica OTRA (NL) , Septeto Camaleón (NL) etc.

Stefan
So far my son has had just one lesson with Stefan, but he has already demonstrated an excellent demeanor, especially important for working with a child who is just beginning! He is very patient and encouraging thus far. Overall, he is a very good instructor for our situation! Update: My son has taken lessons from Stefan for about a year now and we could not be happier with him as an instructor! He is truly a great teacher for a child who is just getting started and well worth the cost!

Stefan
Enjoyed his class! He was very detailed in his teaching - particular about the posture and attention to detail in terms of the fingering and pacing, despite it being an online class. His class had very good pacing in his teaching and provide relevant teaching materials for beginner accordion students. He is also very responsive on Apprentus and accommodating to virtual lessons. Highly recommend!

Ostap
In this lesson, Ostap went through the details of liber tango with me and taught me chords in F major. He is very professional, patient and good humored. He incorporates accordion learning and music theory in a way that one builds a solid musical mind for future self learning. I strongly recommend his music lessons!
