I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. Then, we would go into working on your specific goals. Let's analyze our favorite songs and riffs :) I have experience teaching both children and adults. I speak Russian and English fluently, and can give basic instructions in Greek. My lessons are tailored to the students' interests and needs. I use modern methods of working with children, aimed at creating and encouraging healthy relationships with the instrument and music. With beginners, we will begin to develop a deep understanding of music, a sense of rhythm, motor skills, and focus on acquiring basic accompaniment and melodic playing skills. . For intermediate level players, we will develop an individual program focused on song performance, improvisation and an introduction to music theory. I will help you establish an effective training regimen. The program contains - Hand positioning, development of micromotor skills, finger dexterity. - Development of basic ear training and sense of rhythm. - Play with other people - Chords and basic accompaniment. - Creating music, experimenting with sound. - Introductory music theory and improvisation with scales.

I want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal. I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects. During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work. Owning your own effects pedals, a guitar amplifier or recording equipment is not required for this course.
