I propose saxophone lessons for all ages, all levels, and in all styles. I have been running private lessons for 25 years, as well as giving workshops and master classes in colleges and universities. During a lesson I encourage the student to work on: posture, breathing and the position of the mouth (embouchure), helping the projection of sound; the development of the tone; i teach the student how to phrase and play a beautiful melody; techniques of improvisation; understanding harmony; having confidence in his/her playing skills; techniques of listening and interacting with the rhythm section; learning new songs and experiencing different styles of music; Introductions to key saxophonists. The bamboo flute is a popular woodwind instrument that is wildly used in traditional Chinese music and Chinese plays. The clean and high-pitched sound from bamboo flute makes it one of the most representative instruments in Chinese culture. The flute was entitled “Bamboo flute” because most of them are made of bamboo. Despite of the fact that some of the flutes are made of other materials such as stones, woods...etc, the flutes are still known as bamboo flute due to the excellent and characterized sounding effects from bamboo. The typical bamboo flutes are shown in Figure 1. There are two basic types of bamboo flutes according to their pitch scale and general size. The first type is called “Bang-Di”. It is basically shorter in length and capable of producing higher pitches. The tone from this type of bamboo flute is brighter and sharper. The other type is called “Qu-Di”. It is longer in length and lower in pitch produced. Opposite to the first type, the tone of Qu-Di is more smooth. The bamboo flute is a transposing instrument, and the tonality of every flute is marked on the side of their bodies. Generally, the bamboo flutes can cover pitch scale up to two octaves plus one whole tone. The clarinet is a single-reed musical instrument in the woodwind family, with a nearly cylindrical bore and a flared bell. Clarinets comprise a family of instruments of differing sizes and pitches. The clarinet family is the largest woodwind family, ranging from the BB♭ contrabass to the E♭ soprano. The B♭ soprano clarinet is the most common type, and is the instrument usually indicated by the word "clarinet". German instrument maker Johann Christoph Denner is generally credited with inventing the clarinet sometime around the year 1700 by adding a register key to the chalumeau, an earlier single-reed instrument. Over time, additional keywork and airtight pads were added to improve the tone and playability. Today the clarinet is a standard fixture of the orchestra and concert band and is used in classical music, military bands, klezmer, jazz, and other styles.

We offer block flute lessons for adults and children. The block flute is not only the traditional entry-level instrument, but a full member of the woodwind instrument family. Composers of the 16th and 17th centuries have written well-known works for the soprano flute. In the late 17th and 18th century. the alto flute was "the" instrument for composers like Bach, Haendel, Vivaldi and many more. For the "easy" entry into the world of music with little fingers, the soprano flute is ideal, adults can start immediately with the larger alto flute (in F, but don't panic, that's "normal"). For adults who would like to stick to the C-flute, but find the soprano "too small", the tenor offers a wonderful deep and warm tone. Many alto flute players will sooner or later develop an interest in the bass flute. It has a deep, mysterious, deep sound. Unfortunately, many players then rely on the fact that the bass part is / will be transferred into the treble clef, as they cannot read the bass clef. For these players we offer bass clef reading as a workshop. We offer another workshop "Celtic playing on the block flute", in which we show, explain and work out the differences between traditional and Celtic playing styles with the student / participant.

I have a Bachelor degree in Orchestral Instrumentalist and I'm currently undertaking a Master degree of Music in Performance. As a Music teacher,my goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports.
