Being a former student of ENSAV La Cambre, I can offer introductory courses in sewing techniques, as well as training in fashion design techniques and fashion design. The level and type of the course may vary depending on the level of the student and what he wants to develop.

The tutoring class will be specified to the student's needs. In this course you will learn the basic techniques of making jewelry with simple materials (macramé, pearl bracelets, various clasps for chains and bracelets, working with natural materials, etc.). I will also show you how you can repair broken jewelry or turn it into new treasure. I adapt my courses to your individual needs and wishes. The course is also particularly suitable for children who need support in training their fine motor skills. In consultation, I will send you a material package in advance, which you can use to design your jewelry. I like to provide topics and ideas or you can contact me directly with your wishes.

Photoshop is a necessary software nowadays, graphic designers are the number one job right now in the market so you'll need to know at least the basics of the easiest adobe software. You can use it to make your posts, ads if you have your own brand without paying any designers to do it for you.

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are the industry standard software for graphics and fashion. I am a graphic and textile designer with over 15 years experience in the industry. In this classe you will be able to learn a costumized selection of what is important to dominate this software according to your level. In Photoshop we can talk about from basics as colour manipulation, organizing layers and effects, to more advanced techniques as non destructive maipulation, layer masks, pattern repeating and image retouching. In Illustrator the range will go from text editing and shape building/drawing to gradients/colour manipulation, pattern repeats and advanced brushes. Class can be customized to specific needs.

In this beginner class we will learn sewing basics, getting to know your machine and sewing basics. I offer the following for a class series: Sew Your Own Mask, Sewing Your Own Skirt, Sew your First Bag. I’m open to teaching other things if you would like to learn something different.

ABOUT THIS COURSE: Learn the process of drafting bespoke patterns in our online masterclass, and come away with the skills to create clothes that will fit you (or your clients) perfectly. ** This course is open to students of all levels ** This workshop covers professional measure-taking for both men and women, posture assessment, and guidance in drafting of your basic bespoke blocks. We'll also discuss fit troubleshooting, correction, and the theory behind dressing people of all shapes and backgrounds for a multitude of purposes. You will receive at least 2 hours of tuition in total, depending on your booking and needs WHAT YOU NEED: - Pattern Paper ( min. 1 x 1.5 metres ) or any other paper big enough to contain the full dimensions of your body's front and back, until the knees. We can send you some if you can't get a hold of any (for 50p plus delivery) - just send us an email. - Patternmaster Ruler (if you already own one) - otherwise a regular square set ruler will do. We buy ours at Morplan, but you can also find them on Amazon and Ebay. - Tape measure. - A notebook, together with a pencil, an eraser and a sharpener, ready to annotate away! Whilst getting to know one another I will also provide some resources for us to discuss so I can see how your brain interprets 3D relationships. Following this, I will create a plan of action for us to follow to help you achieve your goal. I am very honest with my approach, and will help you turn your weaknesses into strengths, as well as encouraging you to develop your own unique design style, brand & process (and the confidence to execute!). I will encourage you to think outside the box & realise potential routes to your goal you hadn’t previously considered. I can help with: • Creating a vision and portfolio that demonstrates your designer DNA. • Creating a portfolio for application to a Fashion Degree. • Help collecting the right ingredients & contacts to start a fashion label. • Developing original textiles. • How to create a pattern, and how to grade it. • How to use a sewing machine, and how to sew different types of seams, collars, cuffs, pockets, hems, sleeves, waistbands, trousers & fastenings.
