I offer one-to-one, individually tailored lessons in beginners acoustic guitar in the comfortable, stress-free environment of my Pberg home. I have a Bachelor of Music from King's College London and a Master's in Music Technology from New York University. I have been playing the acoustic guitar for 12 years and the flamenco guitar for 4 years. I am also the lead singer of an indie band based in Berlin. I believe music is about what you enjoy playing and hearing. I will focus on teaching you the music YOU want to learn and to make the learning process as enjoyable as possible while ensuring solid technique and skill. Look forward to hearing from you!

The guitar is a beautiful instrument that let us express ourselves throughout this gorgeous language called Music. The first one is based on the student music knowledge applied to the instrument, we work on things such as intervals, fretboard knowledge, harmony and improvisational concepts. The second one is based on the technique and the correct execution of the instrument and the third one is based on playing music and polishing details to sound better. If you are an advance player and you want to work on any specific topics or just clear up some questions I’m here to help you the best way I can.

The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. After learning the more common chords and basics of guitar playing, you will learn about strumming patterns, finger picking, and tabs through the songs of your choice. One benefit of this technological world is that we can find almost anything online if we know where and how to look, which includes most of our favorite songs. All you have to do is give me the names of songs you would like to play, and I will work my magic to help you achieve that goal. hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else! I am a professional trumpet player graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam.I have 21 years of experience in playing trumpet, and 12 years of teaching experience.
