I am also very interested in music by ear and I propose to the students to approach songs, also without partitions, just by listening and reproducing the sounds heard. Over the years, I have worked a lot with the students to bring a method related to play to the ear. This completes the classical training by being more independent and being able to arrange yourself the music that you like and that you want to be able to play. Students decide for themselves what training they want from the start. Playing by ear is generally more affordable and attractive. When our daughter started taking flute lessons from Malvina, it was truly transformative. While she had been learning the flute for some years, she learned to love playing the flute when Malvina was her teacher. After a lesson with Malvina, she would come out smiling! Malvina is a wonderful musician who has a really positive approach to teaching. This means that the children progress well and learn to enjoy the instrument and the music. Malvina also arranged little concerts at Christmas and the summer which were wonderful for the children and their friends and families. Malvina's guidance when we bought a new flute for our daughter was really invaluable. Malvina is a real 'five star' teacher whose enthusiasm for the flute benefits all her students who learn both to play and enjoy this lovely instrument.
