Those students and parents who found me at Apprentus left me beautiful recommendations that I really recommend reading below. Lessons can take place at my "Brussels Flute Studio" at Parc des Princes, Auderghem area. Metro 5 - Herrmann-Debroux, tram 8 - Tenreuken, bus 41-Transvaal. There is also possibility of lessons at student home or online. For each student I propose personalised method and individual approach. I am teaching how to play flute, piccolo and alto flute. Classes are in English, French or Polish. Beginner, Intermediate, advance level; Young (+6) and older - all welcome. My students play in duos, trios, quartets and in the flute orchestra; at least few times a year students play concert, go to competitions, attend workshops, Flute Festivals & masterclasses (for school year 2023/2024 minimum 6 events are planned); I am experienced in preparing for ABRSM exams; my students pass ABRSM exams with merits and distinctions! All the students need their own instrument. I help to find and buy an instrument, repair it or resell it. I am really sorry, but I stopped lending flutes because of my bad experience. Trusted teacher: Are you interested in learning or developing your flute skills? Are you a beginner or already advanced? Opening up to different repertoires and techniques? You need to integrate your flute class with strong discipline regarding rhythms and solfege? Then... what are you waiting for? I offer lessons of flute and recorder in three languages (French, English & Italian). If you are a big fun of art noveau buildings you can come to my house in Schaerbeek. Or if you leave too far, I can come to your place. My name is Matteo and I am an Italian flutist and musicologist, based in Brussels since 2010. I graduated in modern flute at 'B. Marcello' Conservatory in Venice and at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Barthold Kuijken and Frank Theuns in the Baroque flute. I hold a master degree in Philosophy and Musicology as well. I hold a PhD degree in music performance at Cardiff University, School of Music. From 2013 till 2015, I have been teaching at the Venice Conservatory "B. Marcello", giving yearly lectures and seminaries on the historical repertoire for the flute. Since 2021, I have been appointed music curator of Coudenberg Sound Box Fest, a music festival which aims at celebrating the Belgian music heritage and takes place every year at the beautiful archeological site of the former Royal Palace of Brussels. I recorded for Warner Classics & Erato, and a soloist for Arcana/Outhere Music ('La solitude à deux. Solos and duets by G. P. Telemann' in 2018 and 'Affect is no Crime. New music for old instruments' in 2019). I regularly play with leading ensembles and orchestras such as Millennium Orchestra (Leonardo Garcia Alarcon), Vox Luminis (Lionel Meunier), Les Muffatti (Peter van Heyghen), Coro & Orchestra Ghislieri (Giulio Prandi), Le Concert d'Anvers (Bart van Reyn), B.O.X. (Pieter Theuns), Silete Venti (Simone Toni), Transports publics (Thomas Baeté), Oficina Musicum (Riccardo Favero), and performs on the main stages and festivals such as: Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht, De Singel in Antwerp, Bozar in Brussels, Festival de Sablé, Festival des Abbeyes en Lorraine Ravenna Festival, Grandezze e Meraviglie in Modena, Venetian Centre for Baroque Music in Venice, Spazio & Musica at Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Festival Accademia Bizantina, Coudenberg in Brussels, Teatro dell'Arte di Milan, Teatro Della Pergola in Florence, Ars in Cathedrali in Brussels, Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris, and many others.

Trusted teacher: Hi! I'm Laura, a passionate and committed music teacher. With more than ten years of experience, I love teaching violin, flute and piano. My methodology is 100% personalized and I will help you advance in your musical process. Together, we will discover the wonderful world of music. Let's start! My name is Laura, I am Colombian and I belong to an indigenous community in the southwest of my country. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music with emphasis in musicology from the Universidad del Valle in Cali (Colombia) and later I did my Master's degree in Anthropology at the Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin (Colombia). I am passionate about music education, especially violin, flute and piano. I have been a teacher in these areas and others related to indigenous peoples for more than ten years. Likewise, I have been able to work with universities, institutes and academies of great prestige in my country. I love working with children, even if they have no previous experience in music, and I have done very well working virtually with students in the USA and UK. As a teacher I like to be patient, understanding, attentive, patient and respectful, so you can feel in a safe place with me. Since 2011 I have been working as a music teacher. I started in small academies and institutes in my city of residence, and later I worked my way up to universities and higher education centers. Currently I work at my own non-profit music project that I founded in 2020. In this initiative we work teaching music to indigenous children from my own community, and we also develop research and artistic creation. I really enjoy working with the Suzuki method for violin and the Bastien method for piano, however, I try to use other types of repertoire that can be complementary to these methods. Sometimes, I let my students choose the songs they are going to perform. In this way, I also learn new repertoire. My lessons are one hour long, divided into 45 minutes of practical work and 15 minutes of theory work. I will teach you how to use a proper posture on your musical instrument, how to read sheet music, how to interpret music of all genres, and above all, how to understand and connect with the music. My methodology is 100% personalized, according to the needs of each student and their abilities. I have a varied repertoire of songs that include academic, Latin American and indigenous music, which help students to motivate and advance in their process. I am a lover of dogs, yoga, reading, cooking, cultures, and I also believe faithfully in God. I would be delighted to meet you and learn more about you so that together we can begin a process in learning your favorite instrument.

Flute lessons ONLINE with Malvina [Brussels Flute Studio]
Malvina
A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Thank you so much Malvina! Looking forward to our future lessons!

Flute ONLINE for everyone. Children to Adults. (English, Russian) (Ghent)
Anna
I might not know much about flute, but what I know is that if you want to learn it, Anna's your gal. She's fun, smart, punctual and really professional and, to top it off, a really good teacher. She is going to make you feel appraised for your smallest accomplishments (which will definitely help you evolve much faster than using any conventional book/online course etc.) and will find the sweet spot between theoretical concepts and fun, practical songs to keep you entertained. I myself had an internal kerfuffle and nearly quit after 2 weeks of trying to learn flute. But flute can be fun and entertaining, and Anna's teaching method is the proof to that lemma!

Flute, Traverso, Renaissance Flute and Music Theory lessons! - All ages, all levels (The Hague)
Uma Torres
I contacted Uma after a big musical break. She has the patience and the smile that will give you confidence to (re)start playing the flute, whatever your level is. Ask her anything and she will always try to answer, propose a new piece and adapt to your needs. If you are interested, she can introduce you to baroque music, the main topic of her studies.
