Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. My main goal is to make music affordable to everyone, that's why I love to have students of any age. Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

Ciao! My name is Giampaolo. I have recently moved to Edinburgh from Sicily, Italy, where I worked as a music teacher for 13 years. I have been teaching the flute since I was 15 years old. Most of all I think learning music should be enjoyed. While it is a challenge to learn a new skill, for beginners, or to master a new piece, for the more advanced, I aim to make this challenge enjoyable at every stage. I enjoy teaching students of all abilities, from teaching beginners the basics to helping more advanced flautists play new styles. If a student has a technique that they would particularly like to improve, I tailor the lesson to fit the student's needs, so he/she feels happy they are working towards their own goals. I have been teaching the flute privately for 13 years since I was 15 years old. During this time I have taught students of all ages, from children to adults, and have also taught at primary school (for one year) and secondary school levels (two and a half years).
